We need better bullets?

The arguments over larger calibers, Radcliffe says, are normal in military circles where emotions over guns and bullets can run high.

Emotions over guns and bullets run high? Maybe they can choose which ones they like to be shot with best.. Perhaps Dick Cheney can spray them with several different kinds to help them decide.

They should've dumped the .556 a long time ago. We don't need to worry about logistics as much and there fore our troops should be able to carry the larger .308 round.

Personally, I'd much rather be shot in the face with a 410 than a 12 gauge.. :D

Actually they would be better off switching to the round that they would be using now if we didn't get into this war. The 6.8 mm special purpose cartridge. Some SpecOps are using it now. It's a .270 bullet but the same approximate length as the .223 so all you would need to change over a m-16 or an m-4 is a new upper reciever/barrel combo and some new magazines.
