The only gun I have or ever want is the one I was born with.. And I do carry it everyday.. Proudly.. Does kinda suck when I keep tripping over it all the time though.. If I'm woke in the middle of the night by banging on my front door, I will answer it with a gun in my hand. Me too.. Quote

I mean guns for hunting etc. I can understand, but I guess i don't understand what neccessitates having a gun on you at all times. Even if I could have one, I wouldn't. It just seems strange to me is all. It seems like an excuse to use violence without weighing any other options. Quote

I don't carry all the time. And becuse of where I work I can't keep it in the truck either. But I never go out of town without one. Why do you think all the wacko's lately go to "gun free" zones to do their killings? Because they know those people won't have guns. You never hear of anyone going to an NRA meeting to kill a bunch of random people. Bad guys knowing, or not sure of, who is going to be able to fight back if they get out of line can do wonders for keeping them in check. As for the bad guys, they are already gonna break laws, so carrying a gun is immaterial to them. These are the people you need to watch out for, not the law abiding, registered gun owner.
