Latly my GF visits have been offline and only because I really have nothing else to do so it just provides some light reading that keeps me mildly interested because the characters (AKA All yall) are already established in my mind. As for what Phreak said; I know its pointless to bitch and I agree that the people doing so are being foolish as it accomplishes nothing, but from my experience in trying to start up threads around alternative topics such as sexual philosophy, sustainable communities, moral theory, globalization etc... They all lead nowhere and disappear off the board as soon as they're up. This isn't very motivational for somebody to try again, and again, and again to no avail. GF seems pretty set in its topics, I'm saying this more as a fact than as whining. Those who want to delve into debate outside these established norms are left empty handed here and must look elsewhere (Or just give up on the idea). Its a bit of a downer when our ideal seems to be to provide space and the ability to shoot the shit about most anything. I can't say I have an anwser to this problem, we can't change the interests/attitudes within our community, it is just my reflection upon the way things are going around here.
