phreakwars Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 I'm not talking about just close friends, but specific people such as police and law and such and community members and neighbors... ALL kinds of variations here.. Like for instance... 1 person I trust is a guy named Jose... Jose is a damn good carpenter, and a very honest man. His main ethic is Hispanic Catholic, and he works hard. I sold Jose one of my trailors, and assigned him as the caretaker for my rental trailor. Originally, I wanted to get rid of the one I sold to Jose for only $1,000. Jose has put alot of his own money in the rebuilding of THAT home, and has only paid me thus far $200 for the home. I told him I was in absolutely no hurry what so ever to get payment for the home from him because I knew he was putting alot of his own money into the home already. I have seen him put new sheeting up to replace the original wall paneling, I have seen the restoration job he has done to the hallway area, and a complate remodeling of the kitchen area.. Jose intends to let his brother live in the trailor... Jose lives next door.. He ALSO owns the trailor on the OPPOSITE side of his house that he is fixing up for his dad to live.. And for THAT family effort alone, my wife and I decided to just GIVE Jose the house with only the $200 that he paid us. On the condition that he is the caretaker for our other rental unit trailor. I ALSO have Jose handling the placement of the renter TYPE I want in it... A HISPANIC FAMILY !! Sad to say, the Hispanic family is probably a safer bet ANY TIME over a typical white trash family.. Hispanic family's are CLEANER for one thing.... Trust me on this !! I can honestly say, I have delivered food to HUNDREDS of homes in my sizeable town, I have NEVER, EVER, EVER ran across a filthy hispanic family, even those living in the cheapest of homes... but I HAVE ran across MANY a white trash slob !! Even the owner of the trailor park agreed with me that she would rather see hispanic "FAMILYS" over any other type of owner/renter.. Another plus is they pay you IN CASH, ON TIME, NO QUESTIONS !! Can't honestly say I see the same from the common "WHITE" folk of America.. On the other hand.. if you get a couple of single Mexican males living together splitting the bills.. you have PROBABLY just rented your home to a couple of alcoholic party boys !! I hate to stereotype, but it is TRUE !! But then, that is just one example of how one applies the gesture of "TRUST".. How about some of YOUR stories... this time I will TRUST that you assholes won't derail the topic !! . . Quote https://www.facebook.com/phreakwars

lilmizztemper Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 I trust anyone who is bound by LAW to keep their trap shut...anyone else..well I guess anything goes. Hell I hate it when I trust my children to NOT repeat what they hear come out of my mouth....especially when I see a state trooper and make the comment to a friend that he's a real hard ass...and kinda a prick...then have a blow out like some bad karma shit...trooper pulls behind me to assist me and then takes my girls to his car to pick out a teddy bear like the NICE cop he is tryin to be...my daughter then says innocently...yer not mean at all, like momma said...HEY MOMMA!!! you were wrong!!! then she proceeds to grin from ear to ear as I slyly pour myself back into the damned car!!!! KIDS THESE DAYS!! Quote Things just haven't been the same since that house fell on my sister
manicmonday Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 No one. I'm trying. But so far, very few have made it into the radar of trust worthiness. And why should they care? They aren't the one with everything at stake. I'm the one who has everything to lose. So I trust few and even those are on a probationary period. RoyalOrleans Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 I have a very small circle of folk that have my adamant trust. These I also trust with my life, my well-being, and the management of my affairs if I were to fade and die. These three people aren't family, but fellows I have known since I was in elementary school. Much like respect, trust has to be earned. Lest you be taken at unawares, you don't go into a relationship with a man or a woman with one iota of trust in them. It takes time, patience, and the willingness on their part to trust you as well. Trust is linked to honor and honor is linked to character. Without character, I'd be a heap of flesh and bones. tiredofwhiners Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I trust different people in differant areas. wez Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Don't get me wrong.. it's not like I walk up to every person I meet and give them my credit card number, but I'll share anything about myself with anyone of a personal nature. I got nothing to hide, or be ashamed of. Now, then if someone tries to use that info against me in any way to hurt me.. then I know they're not to be trusted. Tells me all I need to know, quickly. And the only hurt I feel is for their pathetic existence. Even then, I don't give up on people. People can change, if they see whats wrong. Like looking at yourself through someones elses eyes. It's not like those of us who are in the "non" trusting camp if you will are walking around with hard hearts thinking every one is out to hurt us. But here's the deal, I'm a very open person. I don't hid my personality, or who I am. However, in the heat of the battle, I have seen too many people tuck and run only to protect themselves. When they said they would always be by my side. Now, not every day am I in the trenches like I was, but I still have that knowledge that people let you down. People can't stay where they say they will, even if in their own hearts they think they will. That is where most of us are coming from. We want the people who will say they will kill for us and will follow through on that if need be. Believe me, I will kill for my loved ones and I will follow through. I need know who will do the same. Yes, we should all have happy rainbow and ferry thoughts for everyone, but that's not realistic. Just from reading this thread, I know that you are not the one I would trust in the heat of the battle. If that hurts your feelings, then you need to reconsider why you think you are a good friend and re-evaluate that in the light of this thread.
