FRAMINGHAM ? A loud argument between two deaf women led to one of them being arrested Friday for assaulting a cop, police said.

Police arrested Theresa Maley, 39, of Holliston, at 10:15 p.m. following an argument at 201 Irving St., Deputy Police Chief Craig Davis said.

Police went to the building around 10 p.m. Inside, they found Maley, of 220 Mills St., yelling at another woman, whom police did not identify, inside one of the apartments. Both women are deaf, Davis said.

"She (Maley) was getting more and more aggressive when the officers were present," the deputy said.

Officer Felipe Martinez stood between the two women. Maley shoved Martinez while trying to attack the other woman, police said.

Maley faces charges of assault and battery on a police officer and disorderly conduct.

Maley was scheduled to be arraigned in Framingham District Court yesterday, but the results were unavailable.
