ImWithStupid Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Guess who Biden wanted on Dem presidential ticket? Obama's running mate pushed for surprising choice 4 years ago Posted: August 24, 2008 7:00 pm Eastern ? 2008 WorldNetDaily Sen. Joseph Biden, D-Del. Presumed Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama has chosen for his running mate Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., a man who once proposed the bottom half of the Democratic presidential ticket would best be filled with an unusual selection: Republican John McCain. In two separate television interviews in the spring of 2004, Biden suggested the best way to bring unity to a divided nation was for the then-Democratic presidential candidate, John Kerry, to select McCain as his running mate. "I think John McCain would be a great candidate for vice president. I mean it. I know John doesn't like me saying it, but the truth of the matter is, it is," Biden told Tim Russert of NBC's "Meet the Press." Only a few months earlier, Chris Matthews of MSNBC TV's "Hardball" asked Biden if he thought McCain would consider joining Kerry on a "fusion ticket." "I think that this is time for unity in this country, and maybe it is time to have a guy like John McCain – a Republican – on the ticket with a guy he does like. They do get along," answered Biden, "and they don't have fundamental disagreements on major policies." http://wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=73322 Not only brings into suspect Biden's motives now, but supports my thoughts that Obama is the Socialist candidate while McCain would make a great Democratic candidate. phreakwars Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 If I remember correctly, McCain, at one point WAS a Democrat... hardline Democrat at that... makes me wonder about McCain's motivations. It puts him in line with the NEOCON label, not the Republican label.... and truth be told, I'd vote for a Republican any day over a NEOCON. . . Quote https://www.facebook.com/phreakwars

ImWithStupid Posted August 30, 2008 Author Posted August 30, 2008 Amen, brother! I wish with everything in me that the true Messiah (not Obama) would come and make a choice as Jesse says that is fiscaly responsible. That's why I'm considering Bob Barr. If you actually listen to the man speak he is pretty much the best candidate. The problem is the two parties won't let him in a debate. If he could get in a debate and speak from the heart like he does, he'd trash McCain and Obama to those who don't just follow the party on whatever they say. Quote

wez Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Vote Bob Barr. Check out the Libertarian Party. I think you may agree. I'm definitely gonna check him out, bud.. and most likely he'll get my vote if he's anything like Jesse or Ron Paul.. Logical and honest. That's all I ask. I don't think that's asking a whole lot from the "leader of the free world". Sucks because I should already have been seeing him debating the two amigos already. Tired of this bullsh t. This is f cking America, dammit! Quote

Tired of this bullsh t. This is f cking America, dammit! It's like when Perot ran. The Dems and Repubs don't want him there. The difference is he doesn't have Perot's money to change the minds of the networks. He's polling anywhere from 4 to 9%. They say he needs 15 to 20% to let the networks include him in debates. Spread the word. Even if you don't want to elect him, it never hurts to have more people known and heard. About 12 years ago a local mayor was running un opposed but with write in votes in the primary, the write in won in the general election for mayor. I voted for the write in in the primary just because I felt it is best to have a choice. Dem vs. Repub, isn't much of a choice anymore. Vote Libertarian Quote
