Yes I’m sure the Taliban consider those inmates as heroes. McCain was asked about Gitmo and he said the first thing we need to is make sure this (old old old) story of humiliation dose not happen again. I agree that the Presidential nominees stay civil but here's the funny part of the GOP strategy, that I haven't heard on any news show yet. Obama picked Biden to be his attack dog, so he can look "squeeky clean" come election day, with Biden being the mouth piece. I think Biden will have some trouble attacking Pelin. Quote

It's an anti-war thread. And I respect that. Someone has to remind us that there has to be an end to this ASAP. And you also illustrated the point of oppressive behavior we demonstrated. But you forgot that in war usually there are no rules. The free nations are the closet ones to respect human rights. The Viet con where notorious for mutilations and torture rather than keeping our captured alive. Look at how the POW’s were treated on both sides in WWII. The Japanese were hurriedness to the POW’s.
