You guys are talking about two different things. Bender is talking about long term debt resulting in improvements that were taken on by using a public bond issue, voted by public approval, and Snafu is referring to budget surpllus.

 

Part of the budget is payments to repay the bond. The surplus means they spent less than they budgeted for.

A change in rules was implimented and we were asked to comment on it and ask questions. I asked questions and pointed out that things such as the shoutbox could still be abused (as recently shown to be true when I made that point long ago).

 

Bender said complainers were not welcome (not exact words but words to that effect) and banned me without me ever violating a single rule.

 

 

This was from a situation where a certain person was breaking the rules almost daily but never banned. But, this same person used the "I know you are" debate style of avoiding direct questions the same as Bender does. Maybe it was all just professional courtesy for similar mindsets, maybe not, but there are questions to be sure.

The new rule was that people had to play ostritch and ignore people instead of complaining whrn they were acting poorly. I pointed out that it seemed unfair to make people play ostritch and that other types of abuse could happen that the ignore feature could not block, such as the shoutbox.

 

I even offered something from my rules to try and help the situation.

 

This was all done in a thread where our opinions of the rule was asked for, even eddo commented that I should not have been banned because I was doing what you guys asked us to do in the thread you said do it in.

Hey, I am fully capable of accepting I got under his skin with my opinions and comments. I see no reason to call it something it was not though. I am me and like my pm to you when I found out my banning was lifted, If you though I was going to kiss behind and be someone I am not then you may as well hit the ban button again because I don't scare and I don't make appoligies for my beliefs.

 

I especially do not cower to a title of moderator or admin.

 

 

Cloaked agreed to one of my policies, when I mentioned that I do not allow staff to moderate in threads where they are actively debating he agreed it was not a good idea because situations like this erupt where staff allows their frustrations in the debating to bleed over into their jobs.

The complaining your talking about was my offering my "opinion" to the proposed rules, as we were told to do in that thread.

 

 

The only disruption on the forum was the disruption in the staff forum where you were discussing how to get rid of me without the benefit of me ever breaking any rules.

The reality is you guys like Wez, you feel he offers a certain flavor your looking for in your little soup and I can accept that even if I don't agree with your wanting to keep someone like that around. The problem is not your decision, hell it is your forum, not mine. Where the conflict (with us) comes in is you don't want to publically admit that even if he is breaking the rules, your willing to overlook that to keep the flavor.

Anyway, I am done, anyone can follow the link to Bender's post and clearly see that I was partisipating in a discussion about the new rules as we were told to do and even though several people were asking questions and making points, only I was singled out and banned for offering my opinion of the rule.

My GF plays the violin and when she plays all I can do is sit and watch/listen, hardly breathing. Her mother plays the piano and so does my brother in law. Last year I got them all together with a friend of mine who plays classical guitar and they had tears running down my face.

Just my bipartisan view on this.

I think you go over board and take things to personal TJ. When you see the debate is going no where you should just agree to disagree. On the other hand wez knows you can?t let it go and plays on this by egging you on. Wez adds to the board but I feel you add to the board with a certain flair too. We need to hear both sides.

 

As Bender has stated and I agree is that he is a very fair person even during his non orthodox ways of GF. So I wouldn?t go the route that they?re out to get you. Look at IWS and Bender. They have total opposite views to but Bender did make IWS the moderator. That should tell you something.
