Hey everyone. I don't mean to be an arcade hog. I've just been coming out of a very, very stressful and hurtful period in my life so it is nice to blow off some steam and chill out playing games. However, here are some strategies I figured out that will help everyone. :)

MOON LANDER

Don't ever hold down the arrow keys to power the engine. Simply tap the arrow keys to get your engine powered and spaceship moving. Then refuel after every single landing to make sure you don't run out of fuel and crash. And of course, make sure you always land softly by tapping the down arrow key.

TETRIS

While you are still on the lower and slower levels, build up your blocks and wait for the long orange bars. That way you can clear out four rows at a time. That is where the points are. Then as the levels speed up, just do what you can with 1-2 rows at a time. We're talking the difference of hundreds of points versus thousands of points.

BATTLESHIP

Positioning your ships: Never, ever have your ships placed in the corners, along the edges, or right next to each other. Always make sure the entire perimeter of each ship is not touching a grid edge or the edge of your other ships.

Firing on your opponent's ships: I've tried many strategies and the best one so far is to start at the center square then work your way out in a checkerboard cross pattern, skipping one space each.

8 BALL CHAMPION (POOL)

Find an angle that gets as many balls of one type in at your first shot. Then, work the opposite balls. You never get points for getting your opponent's balls in so in order to get his points for his balls, take advantage of the 500 points a pop for each ball you sink when you break. Then play the opposite. Also make sure you never get two of your own balls in on one shot. For some reason, you only get points for one ball each shot. If you get two in, your points only count for one.

MAHJONG

Start by getting as many tiles off the top center levels for a couple of layers but don't stay focused on those. After you remove the top couple of center layers, then make your moves as even as possible between outer low tiles and inner high tiles. This way you won't be stuck on the edges or have lots piled up in the center and then have the game stop with no more moves.

BIN LADEN LIQUORS

The hostage is frustrating and it is tempting to shoot right through him so you can get to Bin Laden but it isn't worth it. Missing Bin Laden only takes away 500 points from your total but hitting a hostage takes away 1,500. So when you absolutely cannot hit Bin Laden due to the hostage, just let that one go. However, if you can even hit his shoulder or something then go for it because the game ends after you miss 10 Osamas.

BREAKOUT

Don't ever use the arrow keys to control the bar. It doesn't move fast enough that way. Always use your mouse. You will have more control and more accuracy when you control the bar with your mouse instead of the arrow keys.

CARIBBEAN POKER

Be risky at first and keep betting the limit of chips you can. If you wipe out, just refresh and start over. It takes less than a minute to have the luck to build up $10-15K when you win a few hands in a row. Then after that, settle down and limit your hands to $1-2K each. Then of course the usual strategies for poker apply.

DONKEY KONG

Go up the first couple of ladders as quickly as you can. Then once the barrels start getting close, stand in between two ladders. Whichever one the barrel isn't going down, use that ladder to go up. Then jump over the barrels when necessary. If you see two barrels coming after you in a row (when they are actually touching as they roll), go to one end of that level and hope that one of them goes down one ladder which will leave only one barrel coming your way. Then jump!

FROGGER

My high score on that one was like 12,000 but for some reason it never registers high scores on that game anymore. The trick is to fill in the hardest spot first. And that spot is the spot on the furtherest left. Make sure you feel that one in first. If not, keep refreshing until you get that spot first. Then the others will be a piece of cake. If you feel in the easy ones first, you are left only hoping you can get the hard one on the far left. So once that one is out of the way, it's smooth sailing.

SONIC

Time bonuses mean more than anything else and are the quickest way to rack them up. Just go, go, go and get through the levels as quickly as you can. Don't worry about killing enemies or collecting rings that are out of the way. Just zoom through.

TREASURE HUNT

Skim the matching ones off the top couple of rows first. Then go to the bottom and start cleaning those off. If you do the opposite, you will have lost the chance to clear the top ones because the board will have been moved around now. And whenever you have the option of a horizontal or vertical alignment, always choose the vertical alignment over the horizontal one. Vertical moves shake up the board more, opening you up for more moves once things start to dry up.

Enjoy!

New: Strategy tip for War on Terror.

Instead of holding down the mouse to guide the missile, guide the missile by tapping the mouse repeatedly. It gives you better control of the missile and lessens the chance of the player panicking or losing control of the missile.

Where's your sweet spot for the break? I put the courser just under the B in 8 Ball and right up to the line. I aim up at the 15 ball (the front ball) and I can usually get the 1 and 7 in. Then I go for stripes. Sometimes I can get the 11 ball in too but not often.

Well, one time I got four balls in of all one kind (solids) on the break so that would have been awesome but my dumb ass was gabbing on the phone and not paying attention to what shot it was. I was just bored and playing around while on the phone so I don't know what I did. I'll keep trying to do it again and will let you know. Then I got three balls in earlier today but wasn't able to duplicate it.

The best one I know of will get you two balls in of the same kind (also solids) is this: Extend your stick all the way back and aim it all the way back at the table to the right of the balls- to where it bypasses the balls- but don't fire just yet. Then lean the pool stick back SLOWLY to where it JUST touches the yellow ball and do not move it any more than that. Then strike. It will get the yellow solid and blue solid in and set up your stripes for awesome shots to where you can hit them in without ever giving the computer a chance to shoot.

If I find something better I will post it here.

Hay Old Salt. You must have gotton 3 balls in on your break to get that high score. Can you remember where you put the cue ball?

If you put two soids in on the break and then run the table by putting in all the stripes the score will be 9,150.

When playing yahtzee it is best to try for one's first then two's and then go down the line. Good luck.

Really? I use the ones as a scrach if I get nothing and have used the chance already. Also I try to make sure I get at least 24 points on chance. but then again I'm not to good so you can take my advise with a grain of salt.

I may have. Got three on the break today and didn't anywhere near my high score. I usually put the cue ball on the right cushion, just at the line. Then I put upper left english on the cue - shoot as hard as I can and hope something goes in. Trouble is, a lot of times I sink the 8 ball on the break. That's an automatic loss (instead of win, like it should be).

Do you think it matters which cue you choose? I seem to have more luck if I choose the top cue.

No I don't think it matters which pool stick you use. I've gone back and forth and seem to get the same results.

This angle of a break will get me the 1 and 7 ball in.

And then this is what your left with. I've pretty much perfected this but it still only gives me two balls on the break.
