Funny story.. One particular English teacher.. Ms. Woods.. Loved to give me detention. My sophmore year the school instituted what they called.. "assertive disipline".. It would start at 15 minutes.. then 1/2 hour.. then an hour.. I may have deserved it many time for talking in class etc., if a Siberian Gulag is the model of your high school.. but many times I didn't deserve it..til one day.. the last time she ever gave me detention..

A couple guys were sitting behind me flipping quarters for dollars in class... the quarter hits the floor and it's . "Alright (wez), that's 15 minutes! ".. "I didn't do anything".. That's 1/2 hour!.. "But I didn't do anything".. All right, that's an hour.. "Silence"....

A girl in front of me.. sweet Mary G.. mmmmm.. speaks up and says, "Why do you always give him detention? He never does anything wrong." Looked like someone smacked teachette in the gut, but she didn't take away my detention for whatever prideful reason.. But a week or so later she apologized and never gave it to me again.. yay me.

Hahahahaha... in another class one day, a buddy of mine sat a few seats behind me and I heard his pot pipe hit the floor.. Turned around to see him quickly grabbing it.. He got lucky.. Same room.. Differerent teacher.. Ya know, that teacher liked to give me detention too..

Apparently Business law was the perfect place to scrape a pipe.. wtf? :D

Come to think of it, he used to like to fondle hash in accounting too.. hahahahaha

That class was great.. had a teacher retiring and he'd come in, take attendance, and leave for the rest of the hour.. everyday .. cept test days..

Oh yeah.. he gave us freedom. ;)

He'd help with questions if ya asked.. but it was up to us to do the work.. He didn't need to lord over us, and the grade was what you earned.. I liked it.

Plus.. never once got detention from him.. :D

I'm 18 years old serving on the USS Gridley CG21. I'm on the midnight watch on the fantail. It's so dark that if you walk out (even after standing under red exit lights) you can't see you hand if front of your for face for five minutes. I'm bored out of my scull so I start singing into my sound powered head phones that only others on watch can hear. I sing Across the Universe by The Beatles. I'm waiting to be told to shut the hell up or get some kind of reprimand. Instead after I'm finished I start getting requests. :p

Moving to Park Avenue.

Feeding my goldfish, Abraham.

Meeting Nancy Reagan, who told me to "just say no" to drugs.

Eating ice cream with Mr. Drummond.

Oh wait.....that was Diff'rent Strokes.

I loved playing outside with my friends, going for long bike rides, swimming at the pool, playing "One, two, three o'clock" and "smear the queer", sledding, being pulled around the lake on a tobbogan behind a pickup and falling off the damn thing at about 25 mph, eating hot dogs and s'mores made on the campfire, fishing with dad, and basically just enjoying being a kid.

Good times. Good memories.

Do you think your goldfish would be able to eat all of Abraham? Sounds like quite a bit for a goldfish to swallow.

What chu talkin' about, Willis?

What if they're killing people to rob them or in the course of other illegal actions?

Not a fan of intentional killing for any reason.. It diminishes us all.

This brings to mind an episode of Deadwood. The local school teacher invited Calamity Jane to her class so that she may share her experience as a schout for Custer's army. Jane showed up drunk, which was her want at all times. Standing before the classroom, cow eyed children stare back at her, the teacher (a prude) stands with baited breath anticipating the worse out of Jane's mouth. At length Jane speaks...
