emkay64 Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 The funny part is while she accused you word use as "crude", she gave +rep to Chi for using much worse language against me. Anyway, your right, all kids look for heros and hard working parents are busy.......well working for a living and not around as much as we would like to be. Even when we are around we have a home to clean, bills to pay, food to cook, cloths to fold (that is the chore I hate the most), etc. When I was young baseball players and such were the heros, now kids are looking at rap artists and train wrecks like Paris Hilton as their heros and it is definitely taking it's toll on society. Even the sports heros are busted for drugs or dog fighting, our kids don't really have the solid heros we had as kids. Parents can still try to offer a good example through example but a hard working mom and dad grinding out an honest existence hardly looks comparable to the kind of life these rappers and such live so the kids are seeing that. I agree...folding clothes sucks (oops!)....I mean folding clothes is yucky . I love doing laundry...just not the folding. As for rappers, my girls are a little young yet for them as role models. They prefer the girly types. I refer to it all as "bubble gum" culture. Sweet, cloying, sticky and fake. I sure wish oversize sweatshirts were the style...... Now excuse me while I take my poor morals and go stain the deck and then make cupcakes for my 7 year old's Birthday. Quote

Hey, I love baking stuff for school. I have always been the cook in my home, I always tell my women I don't mind cooking as long as they help me clean up. My special is cream puffs, very few people still know how to make these from scratch but I make them at least once a month. Stuffed Lamb chops is my favorite meal to fix for company. My little girl is 10 and is more a tomboy at this point. I have had her in martial arts for 5 years now and she is very into several sword styles right now. I started wearing pads when we open hand spar last year because she hits harder than some guys do now. My sister's kid is two months younger than mine and she got her "visitor" and is developing bumps already. I am dreading this new arrival with my daughter (it just seems too soon). I know it is normal but I will miss her being my little girl. As I consider her getting older and developing into a young woman, I find myself looking around trying to see things the way she might see them, to try and understand why so many girls end up either in dead end relationships or swinging on a striper pole. I see my job as doing everything in my power to teach her that she is important and loved. I treat her special and I am trying to instill in her that it is okay to be a woman and be successful, that you don't have to sell your pride or womanhod to make your way through life. Quote

You bake cream puffs ? They are fun to make. They are also really good with roast beef, horseradish and BBQ sauce stuffed inside. I looove cooking. I know what you mean about growing up too fast. My oldest is only 8....with bumps...and last night I showed her how to shave her legs.....after a not so positive incident They're both in Karate and Gymnastics, and Soccer.....and swimming at various times. keeping them busy is key and developing friendships with like minded individuals helps. Sports and outside interests make a huge difference in their outlooks.....aka...no time or too tired for TV Quote

I looove cooking. I never tried to stuff them with anything else, I will try that this weekend. I know, me loving to cook makes me odd, I am also the only male school volunteer at my kids elementary school, lol. There are a few men on the PTA but I am the only man on most of the parent/school groups for giving our opinions on things like the sex education classes to the investigations the school does. Combine that with me being 6 foot 2 inches tall and 265 pounds and you have a very odd guy, lol. I know what you mean about growing up too fast. Anna Perenna Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Awww Anna....I'm sorry if my "crude" language damages your delicate sensibilities. I promise to tone it down for your benefit in the future. I am also greatly troubled and dismayed that my afore mentioned language has caused you to challenge my morality and role model status in regards to my daughter. It would be an insurmountable challenge for me to reach the high pedestal that you sit on. Again....sooooo sorry. It was not my intention to offend. lol. You didn't damage or offend me at all - I was poking fun at you. You and Hugo were the ones sitting on moral pedestals (while talking like sailors). As for TJ - I saw your comment before I logged in. I repped Chi for calling you on your hypocritical behaviour, like every person here should. It had nothing to do with her 'language'. Once again, you are twisting something to make it seem like something it isn't. Quote _______________________________________________________ I don't know how to put this, but ... I'm kind of a big deal. http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/da43a2f8a710897a421f74efa00eba9a.jpg I'm still here. I'm still a fool for the holy grail Not all gay men send me penis pictures. But no straight men do. And to date, no woman has sent me a picture of her vaginal canal.

Once again, you are twisting something to make it seem like something it isn't. Stop pretending you still have me blocked, you know darn well you look at what I post. It was Chi being hypocritical, not me. If anything I was defending the right of all women to be judged by their actions, not their looks. Why is it Liberals all "say" they want this for all women but when they are challenged with a Conservative woman who is that very definition of professional and successful, all you liberals get hung up on is her looks? Practice what you preach, if you want women to been seen as something other than what they look like, start doing that yourself. Quote

Chi Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 FYI- I just negative repped you for this- both for bragging about it and for throwing Em under the bus. Boo!... You're no fun. I wasn't throwing Em under the bus, that's my girl. I was just stating facts because it was ironic and funny:) Quote
timesjoke Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 FYI- Em repped me for putting you in your place, too- lol.... As I said about someone else, an idiot calling me an idiot is a double negative, that means I am a genious. All I have to do is let you guys keep talking and sooner or later you prove your true colors and I get to smile my knowing smile. You just proved how petty and insignificant you truly are with this post. I can care less how many of you believe assuming something negative about Sarah without proof is reasonable, I do not associate with 'sewing circles' where rumor and innuendo are all it takes to judge a person as a slut.
