I also hope you don't really have such a low and errenous opinion of me that you think I "hate" Sarah Palin because she is "good looking, white, successful career mom who has kept her family together." First of all, I don't "hate" the woman. While I find a lot of personal aspects about her admirable and commendable, I don't agree with a lot of her outlooks and views. I also don't think she can walk on water like TJ makes it seem. That's all. I want Barack Obama to win the election, but I don't think he's perfect and can walk on water either.

Your right Chi. Her gender plays a big roll and as sexist as this may sound I'm glad she is pretty to boot. No doubt about it. She was picked because she was a women. But she was also picked for her convictions, her stamina and her knowledge. People are also voting for Obama for the mere fact that he's black. The video did not show the worst part of the beating - where a negro and all his friends smashed a heavy blunt object onto the victims head. That was attempted murder if ever I saw it.

 

I,ve seen lots of whites strung up too Wez. Its what happened in fronteer America. I dont think its anything racial. Its how peeps dealt with criminals in those days. If you did the same breakdown by sex you find it even farther askew. You can not expect different demographic groups to have similar incarceration rates.
