ImWithStupid Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Is it IRAQ snafu? Tell me, IS IT? This goes back to the fact that people ignore. McCain has long said that no matter how we got in Iraq, we're there and need to do what's best. Obama has been a cut and run proponent for years. I agree with OS. This is an ongoing situation. Once we're done in Iraq and they take over, the war on terror will move somewhere else. To say we will invade a nuclear power, who is an ally, unprovoked and without their cooperation is ludicrous. That's what Obama said he would do when he was trying to beat Hillary, who knows what he'll say now. His stance on everything else has moved so far. Quote

Well in Bender's and Obama's defense I would hope they mean crossing the boarder and chasing the enemy instead of stopping. Not necessarily attacking Pakistan. ImWithStupid Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Is it IRAQ snafu? Tell me, IS IT? , This means nothing to the argument and only follows along with Obama's tactics when questioned. He interupts the intervewer, stops the issue at hand and starts to bring out some loosely veiled talking point, as far as the real issue. Nevermind. I was going to go on but it appears that the issue I was going to address dissappared, just like one of Obama's stances does when the polls dissagree with him. All talk and no substance. Quote
ImWithStupid Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 What YOU don't understand is ever since McCain stated his BS position, Obama has scoffed at his BS ''Chicago style" rebuttal as a typical GOP diversion tactic of the VERY REAL issue of Terrorism in America. REALISTICALLY, WHO IS YOUR ENEMY? Iraq? , , He may have scoffed at it, and the media may have gone along with it, but his record supports him following along with the Chicago/Daley machine. Even in the face of opposing his own stance and even though people connected with Daley were included in scandal, Obama wouldn't denounce Daley and backed his people. Quote

Anna Perenna Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Who will you vote for this year and why? If I were able to vote in the US Presidential elections I'd vote for Obama, simply for the fact that him winning would ensure that McCain + Palin don't win. I saw Palin's interview with Katie Couric and her comments about Russia were just plain embarrassing. The woman is like the male Republican version of a Stepford wife - anti feminist, evil and retarded. Not a good combo. I also don't think much of that walking cadaver McCain. snafu Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 It's early in the Presidential race and alot of people still don't have a clue how to answer the question "How will you vote this year?" I was sitting back, thinking about doing research into how i should vote this year and taking my friends' opions into account when I realized something. In past years, alot of people have voted for "the lesser of two evils." I am not sure thats' how the whole democratic process is supposed to work. A handfull of the people i talked to said they are going to be one issue voters this year and no Bender it wasn't dependent upon Sarah Palin being the next pin up girl. Still another group talked about voting for the underdog just so they could have deniablity for whomever was elected. So with all of that in play I am still looking for the answer to the question - who will I vote for. I am not a strick Republican or Democrate. I typically vote for the person I think will do the best job. It's a novel idea I know but that's what I have tried to do. The problem is I don't see the next great President in the field once again. I did not see one the last few elections so I should be use to this. So I am turning to my fellow JustBs writers to see what the opinion is and why. So here is the question to you and I know if i dug though the threads I would more than likely see my answer or even the same question but hell I am lazy..... Who will you vote for this year and why? On the first debate Obama used the words "I agree with john" eight times. The reason he did this is for the fact that we are all Americans which have the same fundamental ideas. I admire him for saying it. I truly do! But as you see how this thread has progressed you should get an idea of who I'm voting for. In these troubling times we need a warrior in office. Someone that understands when diplomacy has failed and when to act. Am I paranoid? I don't think so. BUT in any event my decision lies squarely on the sanctity of America. McCain is the only answer. ImWithStupid Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 You call THAT answer? Who SHOULD we fight? . . My point being. Are you talking of a foregn enemy or a domestic one. If you mean, a foreign one, I willl say Islamic terroism, keeping in mind, even though Obama doesn't seem to understand, that Pakistan is a nuclear power. If you mean the real enemy. It's the domestic economic crisis. Quote

Obama proposes over $700 billion worth of entitllement programs, on top of the entitlement programs that we can't afford. Unlike global warming, there isn't a single economist that will back the fact that between Social Security, Medicare and Medicare, the current rate of income can support it, and Obam plans on adding $700 billion in added entitlemements, that's more that a quarter billion dollars worth of entitlements than the last six years of war in Afghanistan and Iraq has cost. I wonder wher that will come from? As far as Anna's opinion, since she won't be paying for this. I don't care. Quote

ImWithStupid Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 And you'd be a caca poo-poo! I'm by no means touting McCain, but Obama would be a complete disaster. He even said so when he changed his message on taxes. His biggest claim against McCain is the Bush tax cuts and how they don't promote the economy and only benefit the weathly (bunch of crap). Even though the media didn't reallly say much about it, Obama said if the economy is in a recession he wouldn't repeal the Bush tax cuts. Without saying so, Obama said that tax cuts help the economy, which pretty much negated his prior politics as usual DNC plea to buy votes from the poor that he would tax the rich. Quote
