Guest sheik-yerbouti Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Therin lies another problem.. Money creates nothing in this world humans need to survive and thrive.. Money is only necessary to obtain things from people who wish to hold the necessities of life hostage from others. . I agree Wez. Money is a symbol at best, at worst, it is a coercive tool. Before it was invented, folks grew their own crops, fished, hunted and shared. Helped each other to build and repair each other huts. That was real money. Somewhere along the line they talked us into this paper-money rubbish. Probably because they'd rather demand coins in taxes than a few radishes and spuds. Coins after all are non perishable too. I think it all starts when some jerk decides he owns the land. At this point if he/they can enforce their will- they,ve won. No longer can we hunt and fish, or grow crops, because they own everything. At that point you have to get these from others using guess what, - the money they just invented. And to use it, you must have a job- and then you are a tax payer. Just what they want Indians didn't need money and would have never needed money. Their way of life was sustainable for as long as the Earth was habitable. They lived in communities of cooperation, not competition. Which is why their way was sustainable, and our way is unsustainable.. I'd like to live in a tepee for a while hunting and gathering. Or maybe just a tent in a forest away from it all. How peaceful it would be. I bet I'd get moved on in no time because it's some jerks prairie, or forest. Money is the biggest joke/illusion ever created by man to control other men in the history of humanity. Yep Quote

What else is funny.. and quite telling.. to preserve this way of things requires the implicit threat of violence/imprisonment/murder... That should tell us everything we need to know about it's continuing viability. Quote
Guest sheik-yerbouti Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 to preserve this way of things requires the implicit threat of violence/imprisonment/murder. Just look at the firepower they have. The politicians, the police, the army, the bailiffs, the judiciary, the prisons and wardens. Just one thing- over here homeowners have to pay the Council Tax, or else.. Now I dont mind paying to have the police, fire and ambulance services, our trash taken away etc. But the bill is forever rising as they add more and more to the list. We now get to pay councillors allowances, expenses, banquets even ! And to top it all, every local council employee is now going to get a gilt edged pension, all at - you guessed it, the expense of any homeowner in the catchment area ! If you dont pay- its jail time. They even jail pensioners here, not many, but some are in jail over the principle. Why on earth should I pay another guys pension contributions ? If anyone else did this , it would be called demanding money with menaces. If politicians do it, its called the law. Quote

It stops working when people are no longer afraid to die. Oops. Quote
Guest sheik-yerbouti Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 The same way I feel about members of my race saying it.. It's narrowminded and breeds hatred and violence. I could not agree with any of this. Securing the future, IE, better health care, better education, more job opportunities for Native Americans seems to be exactly what is needed. Its done for blacks, just consider all the AA set up with them in mind. Do races really need to preserve their race by seperating from others? It is this separation which brought different races into being. Why not nurture these differing races ? Without geographical separation/isolation, the caucaloids and mongoloids would not have come into being. Without this development in our past, we might still be living in the Stone Age. I think preservation of race is important. What might the caucaloids and mongoloids do next ? They are probing space travel, and finding cures for diseases which hither too were untreatable. Their cultural achievements are immense, and beyond compare. Quote

Then you can grow all the food you want. That is until someone comes along and makes war with you, kills you and takes it. Or.. or you can fight back and mantain it! People have been rapping and pillaging since salt was the currency. Yes as long as your breathing and you can hold it, that land under your feet is deemed yours! 1 Quote "You can't stop insane people from doing insane things by passing insane laws. Guest sheik-yerbouti Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Well if someone owns all the land you should just make war with him, kill him and take it. LOL, a sure way to have the state intervene and jail me for murder. Then I wouldn't have my liberty either. I do like the Indian idea, that the land cannot be owned by anyone, but by the people who must share it- that's if it really was an Indian idea Quote
