Dumbass California approves of a budget they can't afford and then asks the Feds for seven billion dollars...

Schwarzenegger to U.S.: State may need $7-billion loan

In a letter obtained by The Times, the governor warns that tight credit has dried up funds California routinely relies on and it may have to seek emergency aid within weeks.

SACRAMENTO -- California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, alarmed by the ongoing national financial crisis, warned Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson on Thursday that the state might need an emergency loan of as much as $7 billion from the federal government within weeks.

The warning comes as California is close to running out of cash to fund day-to-day government operations and is unable to access routine short-term loans that it typically relies on to remain solvent.

Meanwhile, California voters will vote in November on an eleven billion dollar, bullet train project.

How about we drop the train project and live within our means. Am I the only one who can figure out that seven billion is less than ten billion?

Common sense is officially dead in America.

They're only going to borrow it for a short time. As my daughter said the last time she asked me for money: But dad, I'll pay you back.

It was the last time I saw that money. :(

Then borrow 2 grand from Guido down the street to pay GE and just let him break your legs after you quit paying and you're bailed out...... You're welcome.. ;)

Everyone wants to jump on the socialist bandwagon now... We need to not only stop this , but we need to reverse the last 40 years or so of socialism... For Christ sake, Chin is more a free market then we are at the moment
