Also given some sort of penalty/charge to discourage anyone else from even thinking of doing anything nearly as stupid. Quote

Yea, this guy isn't just a scapegoat, and nobody higher in the administration really didn't know where one of the President's planes were. I'm sure the keys to the plane are always hangin' on the hook in the kitchen of the WH and people just take it without clearing it with someone like the Chief of Staff or anything. If it's true, and the BS story they released is factual, I'm not sure which is worse. Quote
Old Salt Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 My guess: His boss came into the office for a "chat" and just "happened" to mention that Obama didn't like the pictures they had and wished someone could do something about it. The guy takes this on board and schedules a flight. The rest is history. Plausible deniability? Quote

Old Salt Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I've worked in the biggest bureacracy in the government (the military) for too many years. While my post was slightly tongue-in-cheek, that's really how it works. A request is also an order. Quote
