She'll probably think I'm nuts and have me committed if I try any of this is stuff. You guys have to remember we've been married for 16 years. The note on the windshield dose sound like a good idea.

I've already surprised her with a hot meal at 8:30 at night when she got off of work. I had chicken, corn on the cob and kabobs with scalps, shrimp and peppers on them. She didn't know what to think of that. I think she was in shock.

She did thank me and tell me a day later that that was nice of me.

The length of time you've been married shouldn't matter, snaf. After all, what you're trying to do is rekindle that feeling from when you were first married, isn't it?

Yeah it is. It really is. I'm gonna keep working on it. Hopefully this thread will help us all out.

Hopefully you can change her mind on moving to someplace warm. Where is she thinking she wants to go? That could be your biggest hurdle.

If your heart is not into it, and you love Alaska, don't do it.

She's thinking like somewhere in Washington. Maybe Spokane. Her friend is doing the 6 months in Florida and 6 months up here kind of thing. That wouldn't be to bad. I'm willing to try it. I would just have to keep coming back up here.

I hear Washington is beautiful. I have some relatives there now, and my dad lived there along time ago. They all loved it there. Mrs K from the Jungle could tell you about Florida.

I can tell you all you need to know about Florida- It sucks. The end.

LOL... So it's not a dry heat? Like that makes a difference.

Humid vs dry DOES make a difference. At least in dry heat you can dry your body off before getting dressed... but effing hot is just that- effing hot.

Winter isn't bad.... it gets cool in the evenings, the days don't get too hot, and the humidity is bearable.

It's the people here that I find so distasteful. "Southern Hospitality", my left cheek! People are friendlier in Detroit.... and that's saying something! (of course, I have to allow that most of these people are not true southerners; they're mainly transplants from New York & Puerto Rico.)

I was just going to say that. When we went to Disney World the humidity was unbearable! You still felt wet hours after taking your shower. It was so humid you could feel and see it. They must soak up the humidity somehow in the actual Disney World parks because it was more beareable in there, plus you are constantly going into air-conditioned rides, restaurants, stores, etc.

Maybe it has to do with what you did to yourself in the shower, or after the shower.

I was scoping out some promising companies in the southeast but the heat and humidity scares me. And the big bugs!

But the culture is totally different than I'm used to which intrigues me so I dunno...
