Well... if this chick gets covered by the government subsidized healthcare system on the American taxpayer's dime, I want my big ass Toyota Tundra 4x4 filled with gas every week and mortgage paid every month!

Fair?

Ohh... and a hug would be nice.

Yep, I will gladly let the Government fill up my vehicles with gas, the 350 alone costs a fortune to fill up, but I only use it when pulling one of several trailers these days.

I will also take a hug, as Ali says, Obama is sexy. ;)

I'll pass on the hug. I'm not the touchy-feely type.

I said I would release before you had to kick me in the nuts next time... :(

I'd let the government fill up my fuel tank. Only takes 280 gallons of diesel (if it's on empty). And I only pull one trailer.

Oh, and I'd take a hug from Ali. ;)

Seeing's how I'm an American taxpayer paying the dime I think I deserve at least a reach around.

More like a few smacks on the rear instead, America is getting the grudge version, not the soft loving version.

Well I predicted they would plant some questions, but didn't think they'd screen or plant them all. Even Helen Thomas is disgusted...

Yesterday, President Obama held a town hall event in order to ?sell his health care message to the public? during Congress? July 4th recess. However, worried that the President cannot answer tough questions about his plan for health care reform, White House officials carefully screened each member of the audience in attendance and each question asked.

This time, the mainstream media took note, even grilling White House spokesperson Robert Gibbs on the choreographed spectacle. In fact, veteran White House correspondent Helen Thomas, not known as a conservative sympathizer, even lamented: ?I?m not saying there has never been managed news before, but this is carried to fare-thee-well?for the town halls, for the press conferences. It?s blatant. They don?t give a d?n if you know it or not. They ought to be hanging their heads in shame.? She added: ?What the h-ll do they think we are, puppets??

The AP reported: ?Some of Obama?s questioners Wednesday were from friendly sources, including a member of the Service Employees International Union and a member of Health Care for America Now, which organized a Capitol Hill rally last week calling for an overhaul. White House aides selected other questions submitted by people on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.?

With the elaborate choreography President Obama managed to talk a good talk, despite his rhetoric not matching his plans. For example he said: ?We need a permanent solution that when you lose your job, or change jobs, you can still keep your health insurance.? Absolutely. Do you lose your car or life insurance when you change your job? Of course not. The same should be true for your most important coverage: health insurance.

Heritage?s Bob Moffit, at a recent Congressional hearing, testified that ?Americans need portability. If we had portability in health insurance that was tied to the person and not where they worked, the numbers of the uninsured would drop dramatically.? Unfortunately, the President?s plan doesn?t offer this portability.

To answer Ms. Thomas, no, they don't think we're puppets, (not that she and the rest of the MSM gave them reason not to think so) they think we're all stupid, because all the Kool-aid drinkers for the past year believed every lie and every misdirection they spewed.

The problem is they know their proposals are garbage, so they have to create false events like this to offer the illusion of transparancy but the reality of a set stage and rehersed replies. They had days to select questions based on Obama's ability to respond in a favorable way.

The media is being used by Obama, and it is refresing to see that some of the die hard liberal reporters like Helen Thomas is starting to notice that things are completely different with this President in the area of media control than any other President in history.

But why??????

Because they handed him the control of their Networks during his campaign and now he is not letting go of that control.

Smith obtained her ticket through the White House. Aides said she was a volunteer for Organizing for America, Obama's political operation within the Democratic National Committee. Among the other questioners were a member of the Service Employees International Union and a person with Health Care for America Now, which recently organized a Capitol Hill rally for overhauling health care.

Postscript to the story of Debby Smith, 53, of Appalachia, Va. -- Organizing for America, POTUS's grassroots organizing group, invited her to the event, but she said wasn't promised a question. Asked for her reaction to the president: "I didn't really get an answer," just a request to get her contact information

She worked for the DNC for the Obama campaign.

Even Chip Reid from CBS News was getting in on the fumbling Robert Gibbs. And now, listen for Helen Thomas to chime in!

Love it!

If free healthcare is really on its way in, I may have to rethink my career choice.

That sucks!

What is interesting is to see how Obama's direct control over everything not Fox is chafing some of the reporters in the field. Many of them while also very Liberal also have a notion that they are the reporters and should be the people deciding what questions to ask and when.

Obama is simply jumping over that layer of reporters and going directly to the bosses who are in bed with Obama and his agenda so the reporters are standing outside in the cold.....and this is the first time in history a President has been able to disreguard the "in the field" reporters.

I wonder how long it will take before the reporters try to do something about it and I would give just about anything to be a fly on the wall when they do ;)

Let's see, You bought a car and you are paying for it, so it stays with you. You bought lift insurance and you are paying for it, so it stays with you. Your employer bought your health insurance (or you're at least on his group policy). Sounds simple to me. But then, if you bought health insurance, and you are paying for it, it would go with you.

My mother pays her own health care and guess what? She can take it with her. I used to pay for my kids health care, privately and guess what? I could take it with me. Amazing how a Harvard grad can't figure out how that works.

Anyone who does not have health insurance is just lazy anyway. Anyone with motivation and a strong work ethic can and will succeed. None of us here with good jobs and insurance had it given to us, we all had to earn it, even Bender.

Why suddenly people think the lazy and unmotivated deserve to have everything in life handed to them for free I have no idea.

I got what I have from hard work, tell the poor to do what I did and they will have what I have......simple really, but that would not buy votes now would it?

So what about the people who lost jobs because their company went out of business and now can't afford health care. Are they lazy too? Do they lack work ethic as well?

Yes, just like your saying doctors do not deserve to make higher wages and should get new skills and different jobs to make what their worth, why can't you assign that same requirement to everyone?

Go out and earn what you want, Bender, how much of what you have today was given to you for free?

Don't wanna answer the question? I'll ask again.

I said yes, just like the doctors who you feel should also be electricians and stuff because you and the Government feel they do not deserve to make much money.

It works both ways you know. If you say doctors do not deserve to earn a living after so much education and training, why do people who lost their job and no medical training deserve handouts?

You lost your job, too bad, get out there and find a new one. Get new skills, find your own way. If an idiot like me can do it, anyone can, there is no excuse to be unemployed. I have been put all the way to the ground twice, completely starting over from nothing. I never asked for handouts because as a man I am responsible for myself.

You speak of how you believe the weak should die to make the whole stronger, well they are the weak, sink or swim.

I do not think there should be any welfare at all. If you can't feed yourself and your family does not care enough about you to take care of you then you do not deserve to survive.
