mercury Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Reading through the comments, I don't interpret those quoted to mean "she should sell her house to finanace her legal fees from frivolous lawsuits", I read them as "Is if you can't afford the life you're living, it's time to downsize it. Sh!t happens and sometimes we have to go back in order to move forward." What if it were medical bills, instead of legal bills? Would you still hold that you shouldn't have to sell the family home or that if you did, you weren't taking care of your family? Quote
mercury Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 First of all you played the 12 mil number very hard. Your point was clear, why do you think she is "living so large"? Large compared to who? You? Why is the way she lives or the amount her home is worth relivant to is someone should be crippled with unfair legal fees or not? Do you believe the "rich" deserve anything that happens to them? Or just her? Living Large compared to the majority of the world. Who says they are unfair? Are you judge and jury, now? I don't think you, or anyone else, can say they are "unfair" until the hearing has occurred and the facts are presented... I'm pretty sure that's why we have courts of law. I didn't think it was "fair" when that one b!tch decided that our company would pay to have her entire house re-painted after she had already scheduled the painters to come after we were done with her floors, but that little 1" chip of paint that stuck to the tape after it came off the top of her 25' wall said different. THAT was a frivolous lawsuit. No... I don't believe the "rich" deserve anything that happens to them, but I do believe they have more resources to deal with things that may cripple an "average" income family. (Like 12 million worth of house they can sell when times get tough.) Quote
timesjoke Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 ^^^^^See there Emkay how your lie grows? Was that the experiement to see how many people believed your lie? Well your claim it was an experiment is also a lie, you tried to pass it off referring to it several times and adding in you saw no big deal if Sarah ended up in the streets. If not for Snaff calling you down on your lie it would still be out there. Hell, even I thought you were being honest so me trying to take you for your word and trust what your saying backfired on me............ Now there is a lesson for me, should I not have trusted you? Merc, the house is not worth 12 million, that was one of Emkay's lies. She already admitted it and Snaff said it was more like 550,000. So she is not one of the "evil" rich you think she is. Quote

timesjoke Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 jots a few notes down and giggles maniacally. lol, right, like you didn't mean to lie as an attack on Sarah, all that talk that went with the lie about Sarah ending up on the street was just window dressing for support of the lie, it was not heart felt on your part to write such nasty stuff........ Right, so what lie do we believe again? Quote

Please feel free to believe whatever you like. It matters nothing to my data. Quote
mercury Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 whatever.... the majority of the people in this country are not living as large as Sarah Palin, regardless of what her house is worth or not worth. When expenses threaten to overtake you, you scale back on expenses that can be cut and you liquidate your assets to stay afloat. If you don't, you're a friggin' idiot that is overly attached to material possessions. Quote

Merc try reading the part where it?s costing Alaska over a million dollars not just her. Her aids and lawyers have to work on ethic complaints as apposed to doing work for Alaskans. Also the Democrats stopped working with her across the isle. She is taking a calculated risk by working for the Republican Party outside of the governorship. With the internet and how Obama was able to pull off getting into office she just might be on to something. Quote "You can't stop insane people from doing insane things by passing insane laws. mercury Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Legal expenses are all part of the game... all those up and coming lawyers who will be making a move for public office have to make their money somewhere. Quote
Chi Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Makes perfect sense, to those willing to pay attention She said the the first time, the second time, and now it turns out her claim the house was worth 12 million was also a lie......lie, after lie, is your little world, not mine. If your too lazy I can't help you, click the link if your curious, otherwise your just looking for any excuse to be negative. Okay, being as you claim she has plenty of money then prove it. Give us the numbers of her salary, the husbands salary and compare it to the million dollar cost so far. The President makes $400,000 and even that is not enough to pay these kinds of legal fees. And your lack of giving her any credit where it is due is why everything you say is clearly based on your dislike of her and not anything else. Those pretty girls who have great lives just piss you off right? I am a guy, I do not care about clothes, only women are stuck on clothing. Your jealous, I get it. So now anyone who is paid from tax money is not spending their own money? So when Obama spent $250,000 taxpayer dollars to take Michelle on a date to new york, how do you see that? Emkay was fukkin with you, big deal. You lie to make yourself right. And yes, you got me again! I am so jealous:o because I am hideaous, wear ugly, cheap clothes and have a horrid life - boohoo:( You asked how much money the Palin's have, in 2007 they were worth AT LEAST 1.2 million. Much more since then I'm sure, considering inflation, raises, all of the television appearances Palin has made, etc. Yup, they are poor! And how much do you think lawyer fees are, TJ?? You do know if you are innocent and win you can counter sue for your court & lawyer fees, right? Quote

RoyalOrleans Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Sarah Palin is a liar and a quitter. The more and more I read, the more and more I dislike her. Chi Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 At least Sarah spent her money from her paycheck, Obama is spending money over and above his paycheck. I am just asking for some balanced playing field from you and others. You can't call her money spent from her own paycheck as bad. By the way, why did you lie about how much Sarah's home is worth? It seems to me your the one who is jealous. Wrong!! The RNC footed Sarah Palin's $150,000 shopping spree. Alaskan taxpayers footed all of the rest that I mentioned. As for Obama's date, most of the cost was for security not because they did anything so lavish. He can't help that, he's the President of the United States. No matter what he does, there are going to be costs for that. Yes they flew to New York, big whoop, but they only went to dinner and a Broadway show. A motorcade and a helicopter were used for security and to hurry it along, anything else? Plus, it's not like they do that all of the time. What, are you jealous that you are a simpleton who can't take your imaginary girlfriend, Tammy, on dates like that? You must be... 1 Quote

ImWithStupid Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Please elaborate. In many places it's up to the judge in the first lawsuit if you are able to go after legal fees if you win. It depends on the state law. One more reason there should be tort reform. If there was a loser pays system in the US, this would all but eliminate frivolous law suits. If that happened alone, medical costs would plummet. Quote

ImWithStupid Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Yeah buddy! Is that a tort reform on any of the party platforms? The Repubs tried it in their "Contract with America" platform and tried introducing legislation in the 1990's, but were shot down. Quote
timesjoke Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Yeah buddy! Is that a tort reform on any of the party platforms? Nope, and is one of my big dissapointments from when the Republicans had the majority, they never had the kind of majority Obama has, but they should have worked harder to get it through. Obama has already promised to not consider any reforms, says it is unfair to patients. Quote
