hugo Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 The Repubs tried it in their "Contract with America" platform and tried introducing legislation in the 1990's, but were shot down. And the man behind the "Contract with America, Newt Gingrinch, would make a hell of a lot better President than Sarah "The Commie" Palin. snafu Posted July 11, 2009 Author Posted July 11, 2009 Palin appears on gun rights radio talk show She's gonna go far you watch! Nugent, well-known for the 1970s hit "Cat Scratch Fever," told Palin from his home in Michigan that he was firing up the grill to cook up some Alaska black bear backstrap in her honor. The governor told Nugent that she thought that was "awesome." Palin appears on gun rights radio talk show: Gov. Sarah Palin | adn.com Nugent signed off by saying, "Sarah Palin, God bless you and your family." I echo that sentiment. Ahhlee Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Palin appears on gun rights radio talk show She's gonna go far you watch! I disagree, snaf. I think she's limiting herself politically by reinforcing the media caricature that's been painted of her and pandering to special interest groups. I simply don't think she has the universal appeal needed to take her all the way to the top. She's better off becoming a "community organizer" and making money off her book deals. Quote

Well first off she's not pandering because she is a life long advocate to gun rights and she is fulfilling her governors obligations by re-sighing into law our freedom of gun rights. Second this is a new era where even the media will play second fiddle to the Internet and youtube. You watch its a gamble but I believe it will pay off. If all she gets is a book deal for herself that's fine but her interest at heart is Alaska and America. She will fight for our rights. timesjoke Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 I disagree, snaf. I think she's limiting herself politically by reinforcing the media caricature that's been painted of her and pandering to special interest groups. It is not pandering if she really believes in the rights she is supporting....right? Do you believe everyone must have alterior motives behind everything a politician says? Of course you do, and that is why Sarah is such an enigma to most of you guys, you just do not know how to take someone who is honest and does not Govern from opinion polls. I simply don't think she has the universal appeal needed to take her all the way to the top. She's better off becoming a "community organizer" and making money off her book deals. Universal appeal? What is that? Is that someone who tells you what you want to hear about "change" but once they get into office they turn their back on all of their promises like Obama has done? Maybe Sarah Palin will never make it to the "big show" but is it not a shame that only false people can get elected these days? Obama lied, lied, and lied some more and today is not anything like the man he promised to be when he was running for election. I would vote for Sarah because she at least has her own morals and her own agenda as well as her own idea of what things need to be done that are not swayed by opinion polls. Sarah would not wait days and days for the polls to come out before calling the Iran actions against it's people as wrong for example.....Sarah knows it is wrong without someone telling her it is wrong. Chi Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 So what is the Palin fans' opinion on this - Palin says she's not leaving politics - Yahoo! News ? I could be wrong, but it does seem she is only after the money and fame, and she's selling herself to the highest bidder. Quote
