RoyalOrleans Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Let's see - I guess that means the $2.5 million that it's costing California can be offset with TARP money, right? Quote To be the Man, you've got to beat the Man. - Ric Flair Everybody knows I'm known for dropping science.
Ahhlee Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I see the funeral is being broadcast on the major media channels, but our cable is temporarily out so I'm unable to actually view it. Oh well...that's what I get for living in the sticks where cows often topple over satellite towers. I thought broadcasting funerals was to be reserved for our Presidents and other dignitaries? My, how times have changed! Quote
emkay64 Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Are they going to show the cryogenic team freezing his head...cause I'd watch that? I'll pass on the solid gold coffin with blue velvet interior and theatrics though thanks. Quote
phreakwars Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Dammit, I'm missing the soaps because of this crap!! . . Quote https://www.facebook.com/phreakwars
Ahhlee Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Dammit, I'm missing the soaps because of this crap!! . . I know! I was hoping you had dvr'd it. Now how will we know if EJ finds out that Nicole lied to him about buying his and Sammy's baby and passing it off as her own??????? Quote
snafu Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I'm missing it because I'm working. I wonder if there will be a rerun. Quote "You can't stop insane people from doing insane things by passing insane laws. That's just insane!" Penn & Teller NEVER FORGOTTEN
timesjoke Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 I'm missing it because I'm working. I wonder if there will be a rerun. You know, those who are employed sure do miss out on a lot of stuff. Quote
Chi Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 You know, those who are employed sure do miss out on a lot of stuff. I'm employed and I don't feel like I missed much. There was stuff all over the net, too. In fact when I was already home, getting ready to relax and have dinner around 7 or 8 they were still playing the memorial in some channels! Quote

I agree, that was my weak attempt at humor where those of us with jobs had other things on our minds, lol. I personally love how many people who didn't want anything to do with Michael are now his "biggest" supporters. A real shame so many people are so two faced. Quote
RoyalOrleans Posted July 8, 2009 Author Posted July 8, 2009 I'm sure the bureaucrats (and their ilk) in Washington are glad that the average American's attention is diverted to the Jacko funeral. snafu Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Now all we need is Wacko Jacko doing the moon walk accross the stage and heaven is complete. snafu Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 He might have been a nut, but the man could dance. Chuck Berry could dance too but he wasn't a nut case. Quote "You can't stop insane people from doing insane things by passing insane laws. That's just insane!" Penn & Teller NEVER FORGOTTEN
snafu Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Chuck Berry could dance too but he wasn't a nut case. Speaking of which why didn't Al Sharpton talk about Chuck crossing the racial barrier? Or James Brown? Or Jimi Hendrix? Now Jimi defiantly crossed the barrier. He was chastise by blacks for playing music for the white people. Jimi was playing music for all of us! RoyalOrleans Posted July 11, 2009 Author Posted July 11, 2009 Both Chuck Berry and Jimi Hendrix are often copied, but they will never be bettered in their genre.
