I'm just wondering how many American servicemen killed protecting our country were buried yesterday. Which is more important? Something worth thinking about. Where are the Cindy Sheehans of this country? Where is Code Pink? I think the more pertinent question is WHERE THE FUKK is the media coverage? During the Bush years, the mainstream media had a ticker scrolling across the bottom of their broadcast screen for an up-to-the minute report on the number of dead in Iraq. Now that those numbers have served their purpose--to demonize Bush--they are inconvenient. Do you know how many troops have died since Obama has been in office? Over 200 now, and how many have you heard about? My guess would be the one whose parents are confused over the MJ coverage, is the only soldier KIA that has made the national news in a good long while. They will never report against him the way they did against Bush because they have lost their integrity. Soldiers may die serving their country, but they will never get the recognition that celebrity's get because they are only known by family and friends. It's not Michael Jacksons fault so many devoted fans wanted a chance to worship the guy, which in turn, required security forces. Hell, if I died serving my country, I don't want a big hoopla event honoring me. Just a simple funeral with family, including armed forces brothers, (no friends), and someone to keep away the WBC.
