Old Salt Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Glur's Tavern, the oldest bar west of the Missouri River, reminds residents of the days when "Buffalo Bill" Cody frequented the area.<added for length> Quote
Ahhlee Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 So where's the whole list? I gotta know how happy I am. There's a tab that says "Show list", but I don't think any towns outside of the lower 48 made the cut. Sorry snaf...you have to be sad like me. Quote

Happiest Place in America - ABC News What list, most boring place in America?;D Kidding...(sort of:p) I don't need no stinkin' list to tell me how happy or unhappy I am about the place I live in. I love my city! Quote
mercury Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 The city I moved from in Michigan made some list twice, in the last few years.... I don't know how. Saline is all "wanna be Ann Arbor, but we're not and never will be, because we don't have a university or anything else to offer." Quote
atlantic Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 I notice Az didn't even make the list. Big surprise there. I hate AZ. What say you Mr. Eddo? Quote Do the right thing!

I say they are wrong, lol Gilbert, AZ, Prescott, AZ, and Sedona, AZ would all 3 be absolutely amazing laces to live. Not sure how any of them would rank in population , though. eddo Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 LOL - I meant how do you feel about Tucson? oh, well I love Tucson. But it wouldn't fit into the category of a "small town" like those others on that list. The weather here is absolutely beautiful, no earthquakes, no tornadoes, no hurricanes, no tsunamis, sure it gets a little warm int he summer, but I love that! During the winter, snow and skiing is just over an hour away, and when you are done, you can head back down the mountain to temps in the 50's. Now that the roof is fixed on my house, I do wish it would rain more (this was a pretty dry year here.) I do miss green grass and green trees all over, and think cactus are butt ugly, but that is a small price to pay for not freezing my gonads off all winter. The people here are friendly, the traffic never gets to terrible bad (unless there is a wreck or something,) and it is relatively safe. Tucson is pretty clean, and while we have had a upswing in graffiti bastards lately, the city contractors are pretty good about getting most if it taken care of pretty quickly. In other words- I love it here. I just hope I can find me a woman here before too long. Quote I'm trusted by more women.
