Ahhlee Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 All summer, I've been watching a family of four who live down the street from my business chase their dogs....four big labs. These people are destitute and can't even afford to buy their kids decent winter coats, yet they somehow figured they could manage to raise four dogs in their tiny yard with no kennel.....????????? Needless to say, without a kennel to keep them in place, the dogs ran constantly. They were causing problems for other dog owners and I will admit it was a nuisance because I almost hit a dog one day on my way to work, and one of the kids sprinting into the road after a dog on another. I guess people started complaining and the city cops were called over to talk to the family about it on more than one occasion. Yesterday my co-worker told me that the dogs wouldn't be a problem anymore. "Oh, they finally siezed them and took them to the Humane Society? Good! I hope they find good homes," I said. "Not exactly," she replied. "The cops took the dogs out and shot them." I'm PISSED! Why did they destroy the dogs like that? It's not like they couldn't find a volunteer to drive them down to the Humane Society. Hell, I would have done it! Sure, they may have eventually been euthanized at the shelter, but at least they would have had a chance of being adopted into a loving home. Sometimes I fukking hate people and the stupid decisions they make. I really do. And on a side note, why is it that so many welfare cases feel they need to own BIG DOGS? I won't begrudge anyone owning a pet, but to take on multiple animals that they don't have room for that require food, shelter and decent veterinary care when they can't even afford to feed their family without assistance???? It just seems the average person has no concept of self-control so they just do whatever comes to mind then they need to get help dealing with the very bad results of their decisions. At the back of their minds they know their messed up so they look for any chance they can at a handout and there we see the Liberals/socialists step in, promise to babysit all of the lame and lazy and all it will cost them is their vote........ I would check on the source of your info again. I swear on all that is Holy, snaf....the source is the Chief of Police's girlfriend who doesn't keep her yap shut about ANYTHING that happens in this town. Actually, I'm going to be doing some further investigation myself. If it IS true (and I do believe it!), I'm going to schedule a little chat with the town Mayor. There is also a problem with stray cats in one area of town. Live traps have been set up and supposedly the cats are taken to the Humane Society to be put down, but she informed me that they are simply taken out to a field and shot, too. In fact, she rides along with him when he does it! I'll keep you posted on what I find out. Quote

There are two kinds of people who voted for Obama: The biggest majority are those who do not pay any or much taxes at all and they are getting more assistance from the Government than they pay for. This group is primarily looking for "free" goodies from the Government and Obama ran on the promise of massive welfare increases. The second group is people who feel guilty they have what they have. They feel somehow they have not really earned their prosperity and because they feel guilty, obviously everyone else should feel guilty too. Ali already said they were poor people who were having problems taking care of their kids so obviously welfare abusers, Obama voters through and through. Quote

They see a new fad, or the new big thing that the tv or the internet tells them is the "in" thing, and they blindly jump on. I personally know several people who have this type of personality. They fall for "fads" all the time and I know they don't educated themselves on the issues and only vote for the new "fad". They voted for Perot because he was the talk of the media, for McCain in 2000 because he was the media darling that year, Bush in 2004 because he had better press than Kerry, and then voted for Obama this past election. Hell, I know of people who were talking of supporting Ron Paul this last year when the media was going wild about the grass roots, internet based surge in support he was getting and then as the media turned to Obama they voted for him. That in itself tells you the person is clueless on politics and economics because Paul and Obama are as opposite as north and south on both politics (both foreign and domestic policy) and economics. 1 Quote
