Guest NewsBot Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 WASHINGTON (AP) -- The White House is being forced to acknowledge the wide gap between its once-upbeat predictions about the economy and today's bleak landscape.... By TOM RAUM More... Quote
timesjoke Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 "The release of the update - usually scheduled for mid-July - has been put off until the middle of next month, giving rise to speculation the White House is delaying the bad news at least until Congress leaves town Aug. 7 on its summer recess. The administration is pressing for votes before then on its $1 trillion health care initiative, which lawmakers are arguing over how to finance." You see them trying to deny this fact but forcing a vote before the facts come in that their proposals are all based on bad estimates does seem very bad. If this information is released now, public sentiment will further degrade more than it already is. Recent polls show that Obama's approval numbers are on the way down, and their desperation to pass legislation now before support further declines is clear. I just have one question: If their ideas are so 'perfect' as Bender and Obama says, why do they need to hide facts and rush things into signatures? They sound like they know they cannot pass these things once the public is educated on the facts involved. Quote
phreakwars Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Boy you guys can never make up your minds when it comes to the conspiracy's about the guy can you? First he rushed things too fast, the excuse was nobody had time to read anything, now the bitch is he's going too slow. Does that not give people more time to go over things, just like you were complaining about? Jesus make up your damn minds about what your gonna complain about. . . timesjoke Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 The point is blocking access to information Bender. Rushing votes before the public has a chance to know all the facts is what Obama does. He wants to force the vote for healthcare before the real numbers are released proving he has been way, way to optomistic on his estimates for his policies. By the way, while Obama has kept a pretty good personal rating, his ratings on specific issues like health reform is what I was talking about declining: Washington Post-ABC News (washingtonpost.com) As you see there is a steady decline in how favorably people see Obama when they are asked about his actual policies. On the economy he was at 60% approval in Febuary, now he is at 52% Healthcare 57% then, 49% now. federal budget deficit 52% then, 43% now. Quote
phreakwars Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Ahh, now it's his HEALTH CARE rating not his personal rating, I see, I see. . . Quote https://www.facebook.com/phreakwars
RoyalOrleans Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 White House economic advisor Larry Summers has made a very convincing argument that the economic crisis is over. Are you ready for this? He says that the number of people searching the term "economic depression" on Google is back to normal levels. Ohhh yeah... a warm and fuzzy all over me. timesjoke Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Ahh, now it's his HEALTH CARE rating not his personal rating, I see, I see. Well his personal rating is moving to an average low as well. What was he on Gallop a couple days ago? 56 right? Obama is a very powerful speaker....well when he is staging his speaches and no teleprompter issues come up, the setup fake town meeting he had a few days back went off very well. The beginning of him losing his approvals on a general way is for his policies to get more and more airtime, but the main liberal media just will not post anything about Obama that is not rosy sweet so the message is moving around on alternative communication methods. But, it is still getting out and that is why Obama is pushing so hard to get votes now before reports like this one get out to the public because even without it there is already some rumbling at home where the liberals are getting a few unhappy people expressing their doubts about so much out of control spending. I ask again, if these ideas are so great, why force them through so fast? Quote
phreakwars Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Why push it through fast if it's so great? Well duh... because it's so great. BTW, Chump, oops, I mean Alex. So if the mainstream media is all Liberal, where SHOULD I be getting all my info from? So share the secret REAL NEWS source URL with me and the rest of the world. Or are you gonna use that "I use different sources" excuse/lie again? . . Quote https://www.facebook.com/phreakwars
phreakwars Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 My name is not alex, so ignored. Translation. I'm out of my mind and make up this crap as I go along, or read it from an extreme right wing blog somewhere. It's where I come up with my material, and I'm ashamed to admit it because everyone will laugh at me even harder then they already do. I've been towing that Liberal Media BS line for several years now, I'm too dumb to realize that complaint was sooo 2008' I'm a conservative ya know, I conserve all the old complaints and use them over and over. Epic Fail. . . Quote https://www.facebook.com/phreakwars

No, just not responding to you when your making personal flames, their supposed to be agains the rules anyway and if I did the same to you you would remove me again so whenever your calling me names, I will simply ignore your entire post until you grow up and get past the childish need. Fact, Obama is always trying to rush through his bills and keep the final product away from the public until it is already signed and nobody can change it. Here again Obama is delaying a report that will show negative light on his poor estimates of tax revinue so he can try and force a vote on his bill while public resistence is lower. Once the report is released, it will increase resistence. What I am saying is the truth........remember the Obama promises of transparency? To have bills open and be reviewed by the public before allowing a vote? Not happening now is it? Quote
