And not a single city leader will cut their own salary.

 

Nor would I expect them to, but there has to come a point where our elected officials run out of programs to cut.

That seems to be the case with the leaders of everything.

 

Slash retiree benefits and pensions, then move along to the hourly workers, then slam the salaried employees, then offer bonuses to the guys at the top that thunk up the idea of slashing all those benefits and pay packages, then slash retiree benefits and pensions, again and the cycle repeats.
