Among my friends, I'm the Astrology guru. It doesn't rule my day or dictate my actions, but I do believe there is a universal force that guides each and every one of us and the romantic in me can't help but to think our ultimate fate lies within and beyond the stars.

Tonight a friend called and quizzed me about a new guy she is interested in...wondering if they are compatible, what his virtues and vices are, etc. Even my guy friends call me inquiring about new ladies in their lives! (If I were smart, I'd be making money off this. Now that I just typed that out, I think a new venture for me may be just around the corner! Hmmmmm! I'm such a capitalist.)

Anyway, I started thinking about the serious relationships I've had and how the Astrological signs played into them. They seem to have followed fairly close to what the stars predicted they should be!

........

Have you had experience dating people of different signs?

Do you think your compatibility followed close to what the two of you "should" be or was it totally different?

Well. Chris is a Taurus & I'm a Gemini. I've heard that it can be the best possible combination or the worst possible. We've done both.

I dated another Gemini for a short time and it was a disaster... not that we were totally incompatible, but way too much alike for it to ever work. Kissing him felt like kissing my brother. (ewwww!)

I know I could never be happy with a Cancer... or at least the one I was with.

My relationship with Riley (Virgo) is as volitile as it should be, according to the stars. (you'd think 2 Mercury ruled signs could get along, but no... probably too much alike, except for that perfectionist thing that Virgos have going on.)

Capricorns bore me.

Sagittarius intrigues me, and I've dated a few, but I've found that they are mostly untrustworthy and have a hard time keeping it in their pants, but they make great friends and are fun to be around.

I don't think I ever dated an Aqarurius, Pisces, Libra or Scorpio. If my mother is a good example of an Aries, I'd be driven insane inside of a week. Leo's require too much attention.

Not sure how those all stack up in terms of astrological compatibility, but there it is :)

I've gone on lots of a casual dates and to be honest, I don't know what signs all of them were, but for my more serious affairs I do know their Astrological influence.

Pisces - Oooooh emotional!!!!! He was super cuddly and touchy-feely which really made me feel weird. He was sweet but too sensitive for me at that time. When we broke up...and it was mutual...HE was the one who cried like crazy and made me feel like a total ass.

Sagittarius - Cheating man-whore, that one. He was sexy and adventurous for sure, but too adept of a liar for my taste. He was a true hunter of women, but also a collector which made him even more dangerous.

Aquarius - We got along famously! We challenged eachother mentally and while the sex was kinky there just wasn't enough passion there to sustain the relationship. Whenever we went out, we were so busy talking to everyone else that we just kind of forgot about one another. A better friendship situation.

Capricorn - No! No! No! No! Bad! Bad! Bad! Bad! He was super controlling and sought to completely domesticate me. It didn't end well.

Leo - I have dated many, many Leos. I like alpha males and Leos definitely fit that bill. Unfortunately, they require TONS of compliments and constant adoration which I, as an Aquarius, find difficult to give on demand. They have great passion and zest for life, but when I failed to give them 150% of my attention 200% of the time, they found someone else to stroke their incessantly needy egos. Just as well.

I'd say they stack up quite accurately!

Wait! I did date a Pisces. He was wishy-washy, but I was totally infatuated. He was Canadian, played hockey and looked like Richard Marx. After we split up, he told me that I'd totally love his new girlfriend, because she was just like me. (So what was wrong with the original? LOL)

Walter's a Sagittarius, eh?

They're known for disliking sheep, beer and often burning the roast.

I never paid any attention to any of that, I am a Virgo and that is as much as I know about this Topic, lol.

Would you say I fit well as a Virgo?

Be kind ;)

Oh yeah! I did date a Virgo! He was very attractive but he didn't talk much. He mostly just....brooded. I hated to break up with him because he was a nice enough guy for the most part, but I need stimulating conversation to keep me interested. Plus he really didn't make me laugh that much so that's a definite deal breaker in my book.

I don't know you well enough to expound on your Virgo virtues, but I can tell you that on the plus side Virgos tend to be very successful and industrious because they notice the fine details, but they are also an extremely nitpicky lot who focus more on whether there is a tiny speck of dust on the framework than the big picture it contains.

I am a leo and have dated a couple of pisces. Pisces are liars and controlling.

Sagittarians and Leos and Aries are great adventurors and lovers.

Taurus is alot of fun but has a bad temper.

I wouldn't even think about a Scorpio, they annoy the out of me from the get go.

Aquarius is sweet and lovable but too distracted.

Libras are fun, but best left as friends.

Couldn't be bothered with Virgo, Cancer, Gemini, Capricorns

You have officially inspired me to date every sign....lol. :D

I'll need an Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Libra, and Scorpio to round out my research. Fun!

You really think Taurus has a bad temper, Atlantic? I've found just the opposite: tremendous control, but when they do lose it, they lose it in VERY BIG ways and there's ususally some type of destrustion involved.

My uncle/godfather, my husband and my son are all Taurus with B-days within a week of each other. I've seen my husband totally lose it only twice in 20 years. (I only caused one of them :) )

I've never seen my uncle lose it, but my mother witnessed it once. She said it wasn't pretty and it scared her because it was so out of character for him. My son (the one with the mild autism) had a horrible temper when he was younger, but once he started learning to speak English and could communicate what he needed to, all that went away. He's surprisingly well controlled these days.

Well I'm only going off my experience with one who I dated in my early 20's. He came from wealth, he was sent away at a young age to a prep school out of state, and was very resentful of having been sent away by his dad. He would take it out on his mom (who was an angel). The dad left the family while he was in College later. So he never really got to see his sisters grow up, or have a family life. He was always good to me, but seeing him flip out on his mother was unnerving.

Wow, you think I don't talk much? lol.

I think I offer some stimulating conversation, maybe not stimulating the way everyone wants, but still stimulating, lol.

To an extent I was that way and had to train myself to look at the larger picture, maybe that is why I read so much now to expose myself to as much as possible. I am very detailed though, but my boss complains about my desk sometimes.

My biggest "problem" is I keep so much going at the same itme, I am a multi tasker big time. While posting this on one monitor, I have a 5 story building cad drawing open on the other working on a takeoff and on my desk I have three files open doing various paperwork needed for these projects.

Anyone who walked in would think I am not very well organized but looks can be deceiving.

Tami is a Pisces, does that match well with Virgo?

Well, they can be stubborn & tenacious... once their mind is made up about something there is no chance of changing it, but normally not confrontational at all, which could explain why he didn't focus that anger towards his father instead.

I will agree to that. I have a quick and explosive temper, but it subsides as quick as the onset.

I'm a triple threat Aquarius. It rules my sun, moon and mercury so basically I'm an aloof, emotionally constipated space case.

Aries rules my Venus so that makes me very sexually aggressive.

Virgo is my rising sign so I come across as to others as demanding and preoccupied with trivialities.

I have nothing in my house of marriage....lol.

My house of pleasure is ruled by Aquarius, so I'm quirky and kinky.

My house of philosophy is ruled by Taurus, so I'm a bit grounded in that respect.

So who are Libras supposedly compatible with? Romantically & in general? Also, what are the general personality traits of Libras according to Astrology?
