Guest NewsBot Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 NEW YORK (AP) -- Drawing on the spirit that spurred volunteers to rush to the burning World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001, Americans looked for ways to help each other on a day better known for mourning the thousands of people killed in the nation's worst terrorist attack.... Ahhlee Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 I humbly thank all the men and women of this great nation who serve/have served to protect us, our families, and our freedom. Your sacrificies are not forgotten. God bless America. Quote
eddo Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 I got caught up in watching the replay of 9/11/01 on one of the news stations this morning (and was almost late to work because of it, lol) Even now, 8 years later, watching it brings up so many feeling of awe, sadness, and complete shock. As they talked about all airports being shut down, the White House and Capitol being evacuated, and everyone just watching the days events happen, it brings back that same feeling of helplessness that I had that original morning- where I could do nothing but listen to the events on the radio. This morning I saw many firefighters heading towards the WTC, even after the first tower collapsed, and I just couldn't help but wonder if all of those men and women made it back out. I heard sirens in the background of reporters as emergency personnel rushed towards the towers to aid people, and could help but wonder if those guys had families that never got to see them again. May God bless those who serve this great country. Your sacrifices do not go unnoticed. Thank you. Quote I'm trusted by more women.
timesjoke Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 any other day can be a day of service, 9/11 should stay a day of memory of how easy it is for life to change in America with just a couple radicals. Today we can't even say we are at war with radical islam because Obama says it is not politically correct. Just 8 short years later and it is almost forgotten by the average liberal. Quote
emkay64 Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 So basically Obama and Liberals are the root of all evil? Do you realize that those two words make their way into every single post? I think you need to find a way to release your hatred so you can transcend to a higher lever. Your anger and bitterness are quite polluting. Breathe....look into my eyes......relax......there.....all better? Actually breathing exercises never worked for me either...just gave me hiccups. Quote

Shut the fuk up and show a little reverence in this thread. Save your blame/personal agenda/bullsh!t techniques to incite other members for another time....another place. Unfukkingbelievable. Quote
RoyalOrleans Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 EDIT: If you all did not like TJ's post, you won't like my post... Today marks the 8th Anniversary of the attack on the United States by ISLAMIC terrorist goons. Now why do I capitalize the word ISLAMIC? Well, listen to the news coverage today. Sure, you'll hear plenty of mentions of the terrorist attack .. but somehow you don't hear the words "Muslim" or "Islamic." It's been 68 years since Pearl Harbor .. but to this day it is still referred to as the "Japanese Attack on Pearl Harbor." Well guess what - as was the case with Muslims in 2001, not all Japanese were behind the attack on December 7, 1941. Still, it's the "Japanese attack." Well .. it was the Islamic attack on America eight years ago ... and we need to remember that. Islamic radicals are still dedicated to the idea of destroying our country or our culture .. this is threat we cannot ignore. "Day of Service" my white ass! This should be forever remembered as the "Day of the Giant's Awakening". 1 Quote To be the Man, you've got to beat the Man. - Ric Flair Everybody knows I'm known for dropping science.
timesjoke Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 EDIT: If you all did not like TJ's post, you won't like my post... They didn't comprehend my post or they would not have said what they said, most of the time they are just disagreeing with me out of a knee jerk reaction. Both of you ladies need to reread my post, I was taking issue with the "Day of Service" Bullsh!t and that is 100% Obama and Liberal attempt to transform this issue with political correct politics. "Day of Service" my white ass! This should be forever remembered as the "Day of the Giant's Awakening". Thank you, at least one American who understands the danger of sweeping this event under the PC rug. Quote

Right, and Ali was 6 minutes right behind you, maybe I am wrong but there was nothing funny about your post in my opinion, I really am upset that even this day is remade by the PC agenda to ignore what really happened. All for political gain. Someone has to speak out against the political correct agenda. Quote
ImWithStupid Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Oh boodily hoo! Geeze. It is your fault you know. You failed to use the TJ sarcasm/joke disclaimer. Quote

This should be forever remembered as the "Day of the Giant's Awakening". It does well to remember WHY it happened and who caused it, I totally agree with that. My disgust is with putting the entire blame squarely on one political party's shoulders, causing even more internal divide. And when we are so divided amongst our own factions, we are that much easier to control and conquer by the REAL enemies who seek to destroy our freedoms. We ALL need to remember and we need to unite to prevent such a disaster from occurring again. Creating dissent is not the way to accomplish that goal, IMO. 1 Quote

Even if that is reality Ali? That is the point your missing, your completely falling for the political correct game Ali. They want you to not place blame where it belongs because that help them. Can you name any Conservatives who want this political correct change? Or is this a liberal/Obama creation such as him ordering the change to not call our fighting a war on terrorism anymore. Sometimes you have to place blame where it belongs. Quote
