Guest NewsBot Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 WASHINGTON (AP) -- Former President Bill Clinton says he believes President Barack Obama is wise to step back and rethink U.S. policy in Afghanistan before approving the dispatch of additional U.S. troops there.... More... Quote
ImWithStupid Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 I personally would be delighted that President Obama wanted to be sure that his actions in Afghanistan was based on intelligence and tactics on dealing with the issue in Afghanistan, but unfortunately based on this President and his history leads me to believe that the only thing that matters to him is his political ambitions, political expediency and how it will reflect on him, not what is right or what will lead us to victory. He sold out, eastern Europe and the former Soviet States, pandered to Castro, Chavez, Morales and Zelaya, and accepted voter corruption in Iran to appease Ahmedinejad. Obama was predicted to be an appeaser like Joe Kennedy or Jimmy Carter, but he's worse. He's selling out all of our allies in hopes of getting minimal reciprication from our enemies, and so far he's been skunked. President Obama is selling out, without promise of anything, all our allies and points of leverage for the HOPE of something in return, simply because he thinks that if he's nice to them, they'll be nice to us. 1 Quote

RoyalOrleans Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Here's a naughty little nibbly bit that you can pass to your little liberal friends who are still convinced GW Bush is the reason for this country's problems. We've heard Barack Obama touting this line for months ... the war in Iraq is taking a serious toll on the economy. Well as it turns out, Barack Obama should look himself in the mirror! Here are the details. The Congressional Research Service tells us that the total cost of the Iraq war under President Bush was $622 billion. Do you have any clue how much Obama is going to spend on welfare, treating America's parasite infestation, in just 2010 alone? Care to guess? Well ... let's try $888 billion. Yep, you got it. That's about $260 billion more than the cost of the Iraq war under Bush. And what will we get for that money? An entrenched welfare class, that's what. Our parasite problem will become even worse. Frankly, we got a lot more bang for the buck out of the war in Iraq. Just trying to keep the truth. I mean, where else do you think you will find these facts ... the mainstream media???
