[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yf4iXHYPIOg&feature=player_embedded]YouTube - Insurance Execs Need Your Money[/ame]

MoveOn.org has produced a new commercial in support of a government takeover of healthcare. A bunch of Hollywood celebrities got together and thought, "wouldn't it be funny to pretend like we are really concerned about CEOs of insurance companies?" So that's what they did. They put together this video where they pretend like they are worried about health insurance executives. Here are a few lines from the ad, so you can get an idea of the wealth envy involved in demonizing health insurance companies.

"These great businessmen are American heroes. So why is Obama trying to reform healthcare when insurance companies are okay making billions of dollars in profit? ... Insurance companies need our support, because they keep our selfish priorities in check when we can't ... Health insurance companies are huge. They need to make big profits so they can afford to give their employees health insurance ... Insurance company executives have a RIGHT to THEIR American Dream: five houses, a private plane, $500 million in your pocket, and a mini zoo in your backyard ... So now is your chance to look after insurance company profits. They've looked after our best interests for so long, now you can look after theirs."

All part of the war on the private sector, my friends. They have their champion in the White House .. and they're off to the races. The people who read these lines are Hollywood actors. They pretend to be things they're not for a living. In this case they're pretending to be in touch with the American people.

Again, it is an avoidance of discussing policies and facts and trying to appeal to peoples' baser instincts of envy ahd hatred!

THE IGNORANT FRINGE SHUFFLES THEIR FEET ALONG!

Ohhh.... and Will Ferrell ain't a damn bit funny in anything that he has ever been a part!

So it's ok for the Hollywood elite to live high on the hog, but those who are successful in the private sector should not?

Got it! Not buying it.

Oh come on...I liked Will in "Blades of Glory". And his cowbell skit on SNL still makes me giggle. :)

I watched the whole damn thing to see the part where Will Ferrell said "I made $23MM last year making "Land of The Lost". The movie flopped, but I will give that money to the "poor people" I speak of to buy health insurance". Must have got cut off the final version of this little snippet of a film?

They'll rail against wealthy insurance executives, and then go home to their mansions in Beverly Hills in their Mercedes, BMW's, Rolls-Royces, Lamborghinis, etc.

Hypocrites.

Hollywood celebrities make so much money that they could easily pool their greedy, excess gains and buy a whole bunch of insurance policies for the poor. Nobody talks about the billions of dollars made by the entertainment industry.

Then everyone is happy, the Ignorant Fringe gets their free healthcare and I can sleep at night knowing those cokksuckers are healthy.

Hypocrites.

Bingo.

And the ignorant fringe will gobble up the hypocrisy like cold beer on a hot day since it's being served up by Hollywood.

Man, I really miss the days of common sense and independent thought. :(

Since their industry is based in California, why don't they contribute a lot of their excess money to balance California's abyssmal budget and then give the rest to the Feds to be redistributed?

No?

Didn't think so...

So shut the fukk up about insurance executives take home pay.

The hollywood types earn massive amounts of money without really doing any hard work to "earn" it so I believe they think anyone else who has a lot of money has gotten it without earning it as well.

If making a profit is the basis for the Government stepping in to offer the people less expensive options (I don't think that is possible either but for the sake of arguement) then why stop at healthcare? Why not call Wal-Mart evil just like insurance companies because they make a massive profit and build Obama-Marts all over America?

The video clip is still available at Moveon.org, but interesting enough they don't have any place for someone to post comments about the video.

The video is on YouTube and you can still post comments there about it, however it is not the same thing as debating in the lion's (liar's) den.
