ImWithStupid Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Much of what to expect if Obama, Chicago, left wing, progressive agendas are advanced... Oct 15, 2009 9:35 pm US/Central Why Did 1 In 7 Girls Get Pregnant At Robeson High? Officials Say A Mix Of Factors Are To Blame, As They Try To Help The Young Women CHICAGO (CBS) ― It is a Chicago public school full of energy and spirit. It has about 800 girls, and 115 of them have something in common ? something you might find disturbing. CBS 2's Kristyn Hartman reports. All those young ladies are moms or moms-to-be at Paul Robeson High School. It's not a school for young mothers, it's a neighborhood school. And all of the pregnancies have happened, despite prevention talk. The progressive answer to the problem... Not on Morrow's turf. "We're not looking at them like 'Ooh you made a mistake,'" he said. "We're looking at how we can get them to the next phase, how can we still get them thinking about graduation?" So there's help in a teen parent program. And coming soon, right across from Robeson, developers are turning a one-time crack house into a day care for student use. "We have to provide some type of environment for them and some form of support for them," Van Vincent, CEO of VLV Development, said.Taxpayer funded daycare!!! 1 In 7 Girls At Robeson High School Got Pregnant - cbs2chicago.com I'm not going to say that welfare has created the environment that promotes single mothers and men not taking responsibility that is generational. Fukk that, yes I am. Oh, by the way... One thing they might not know about their principal: His mom had him when she was 15. That's why accepting the problem -- and working through it -- is so important to him. Quote
builder Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 So you're telling me that under a shrub regime, young people will stop making babies out of wedlock. They will also stop having sex, I assume? They will avoid crack cocaine, and desist from abusing alcohol and amphetamines. Here's a teen help program for ya. Dubya selling coke to fund his alcohol addiction at college. Hey, It worked for him. Quote Persevere, it pisses people off.
Ahhlee Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 It is not the school who should be taking responsibility for the choices these teenage girls have made. They are still minors and therefore their parents are the ones who should be offering the "supportive environment" these girls need...at THEIR expense, not the taxpayer's. We need more personal accountability for problems like this, not more "free" government programs making it easier for our youth to make poor choices. Quote

I was referring to the ideology of the progressives. Not any one person. Quote

And I thought "I" was the responsibility above all else 'preacher' lol. It all comes down to responsibility, everything is traceable back to if people take responsibility for their own actions or not. The more we enable irresponsibility, the more it will increase until we are enabling other forms of irresponsibility. Irresponsibility is a disease, and it spreads the fastest by the Government enabling it and making excuses for it. Quote
