snafu Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 It seems like every time I turn around I see our country slipping down the ter drain inch by inch. We are now gonna try and court martial our Navy Seals for ruffing up a known terrorist. They have no proof other than the word of the terrorist. Should the Seals have just went through Captains Mass to get this behind them? If your innocent why should they? This is crap! Help Rep. atlantic Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 This is complete bull . We need to stand behind our soldiers and government agencies. Quote Do the right thing!
timesjoke Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 There is nothing to support this terrorist's claim but his word, at what point did the word of a terrorist become reliable enough to charge soldiers with a crime? I could partly understand it if there was some other evidence to support the guy's claim but in a battle of words, I would have to say the character of the person speaking becomes the number one consideration..........and the soldiers win that comparison of character in my book. snafu Posted December 15, 2009 Author Posted December 15, 2009 I don't even care if they bunched him in the stomach and gave him a fat lip. It still wouldn't warrant a Court Martial let alone a Captains Mass. If they ruffed him up I'm sure they had a reason. I was just saying I could better understand the move to charge them if they had actual evidence instead of just the word of the guy who has killed innocent "infidels" for sport. I think this administration's decision to offer American criminal protection rights to Enemy combatants on forign soil pretty much proves where his heart is in this situation. Ordering the trial of terrorists responsible for 9/11 to civilian court in New York is the same mentality of offering these war criminals Americans rights and liberties that they have not earned. I say we should not be giving away our rights to people from foreign lands who have in their heart the desire to kill us and destroy our way of life. Uncountable American lives have paid for our freedoms with their blood, what did these foreign combatants pay for this right? Quote
