Guest NewsBot Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 COPENHAGEN (AP) -- New computer modeling suggests the Arctic Ocean may be nearly ice-free in the summertime as early as 2014, Al Gore said Monday at the U.N. climate conference. This new projection, following several years of dramatic retreat by polar sea ice, suggests that the ice cap may nearly vanish in the summer much sooner than the year 2030, as was forecast by a U.S. government agency eight months ago.... timesjoke Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 As usual, Gore and the rest of the money making scammers use pretend data to try and cause alarm that will force legislation that will put hundreds of billions of dollars into his pocket. He and ever so called "scientist" who help him fake these reports are all corrupt. Australian Antarctic Division glaciology program head Ian Allison said sea ice losses in west Antarctica over the past 30 years had been more than offset by increases in the Ross Sea region, just one sector of east Antarctica. "Sea ice conditions have remained stable in Antarctica generally," Dr Allison said. The Plain Truth: Revealed: Antarctic ice growing, not shrinking Quote
timesjoke Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 In his speech, Mr Gore told the conference: ?These figures are fresh. Some of the models suggest to Dr [Wieslav] Maslowski that there is a 75 per cent chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during the summer months, could be completely ice-free within five to seven years.? However, the climatologist whose work Mr Gore was relying upon dropped the former Vice-President in the water with an icy blast. ?It?s unclear to me how this figure was arrived at,? Dr Maslowski said. ?I would never try to estimate likelihood at anything as exact as this.? Mr Gore?s office later admitted that the 75 per cent figure was one used by Dr Maslowksi as a ?ballpark figure? several years ago in a conversation with Mr Gore. The embarrassing error cast another shadow over the conference after the controversy over the hacked e-mails from the University of East Anglia?s Climate Research Unit, which appeared to suggest that scientists had manipulated data to strengthen their argument that human activities were causing global warming. Inconvenient truth for Al Gore as his North Pole sums don't add up - Times Online More manipulation, more fabricated data, more lies designed for one thing.........to make money. This reminds me when the "scientists" for big tobacco said that smoking was not dangerious many years ago. When a lot of money is involved, there seems to be no end to people who are willing to make stuff up to make money off the masses. In this case, scare the masses with lies and sell them super expensive lightbulbs and charge them ten times the normal cost of energy. Al Gore and everyone else pushing this agenda are making massive amounts of money, follow the money. Quote
