Any you thought your state might be a little irresponsible...

TALLAHASSEE (CBS4) ― The state ofFlorida is looking for help finding something you'd think would be hard to lose: approximately 18,000 buildings, owned by the taxpayers of Florida, that state officials can't quite put their fingers on. What's more, state officials say they don't have the people to hunt them down, so they want to use tax money to hire an outside company to find each building Florida has misplaced.

The plan was made public by Linda South, Secretary of the Florida Department of Management Services. Earlier this year, legislators handed her the job of locating surplus state-owned properties and buildings that could be sold, possibly raising a few bucks for Florida's cash-strapped treasury. The mission was simple; finding the state owned properties, not so much..

It seems that nowhere in the state was a single list of all of the properties taxpayers own.

Linda McDonald, a spokesperson for South's department, said it's not clear such a list was ever required by the state.

Well I live in Florida and my questions to you are so difficult you run away like a scared little girl hugo, lol.

The biggest problem with the Government is they cannot attract really smart people to work for them. We end up with complete losers who cannot make it in the private sector but who thrive in the Government sector because they spend more time passing the buck than actually working.

Linda McDonald, a spokesperson for South's department, said it's not clear such a list was ever required by the state.

While it may not be clear that a list was required by the State, it was certainly common sense to make a list but again, the kinds of people who would work these jobs would not have the ability to think past the end of their nose in the first place.

I've never encountered a Floridian that shouldn't be in a straight jacket.

They are pretty much a bunch of nutjobs.

lol, now your spamming it on more than one thread?

Funny stuff, I just love it when what I have to say is so powerful all the other people can do is try and attack me and avoid my words because their too stupid to address them.

This is the one thing about humanity I cannot really understand but it is very popular for the stupid to attack the smart to make them feel better about being stupid. I prefer to simply be smart and avoid the need for personal flames as a distraction.

No I didn't even get the connection. My cp wanted to download a program to run the video. Even though I hesitated to download a program just to see what you posted I trusted you and attempted it. It seemed to dl something but now I can't even find it to delete it.

I might not be the sharpest tool in the shed but I do understand what's happening to our country.

You hugo seem to live in this fantasy world were everybody works for themselves, no corruption and everything is honky dory, but I do respect your candor and insight. The problem is if you don't have a solution but yet just more criticism on every entity of the the way the United States goverment works your just a blowing wind on the sand.

I got a solution..Let people keep the money they earn. Do not transfer money6 from one individual to another. Don't tax production to provide welfare checks. Simple conservative solutions.

OK step 1

Who will protect what you earn? Yourself?

Bam!!!

Nice work Snaf, lol.

The problem is Snaf, hugo is not really a conservative so that is why 100% of his commentary must be copy/pasted from other sources.

More often than not hogo is on the side of radical liberals, not conservatives. He talks like a conservative but votes liberal, the original two faced persona.

Consider that anyone who could actually get elected into office with some conservative ideas......hugo hates. Hugo is smart enough to know people are complex and not 100% anything so getting an 80% conservative is way, way better than a 95% radical liberal like Obama and yet hugo is supportive of just about everything Obama and company does.

And the enemies of Obama and liberals are the same people hugo seems to attack.........

Yes, we need 'some' Government and in my opinion it should be 95% State Government and 5% Federal to cover things like international/state to state trade and legal issues. Wars and such, etc.

Welfare should exist, but at the local community level where the lazy are known to be lazy and not given free help they do not deserve while hard working people who are just experiencing a short term problem can get help without selling their home and car to qualify for assistence.

You did not read the whole statement. I did not say all the money you earn. A small percentage is needed for the proper role of government; military and police power. Sorry, if ya liberals need money for crackheads.

Even under the mighty Regan, funding increased for things like welare and foodstamps hugo.

I agree that these things are out of control and most of them need massive changes but at the same time people like you put down someone for small things that may look like their welfare, you then turn around and help a real socialist like Obama get elected into office.

Most of your fellow Libertarians voted for Obama, now how do you square that result with the thing they publically claim to believe in?
