atlantic Posted March 7, 2010 Author Posted March 7, 2010 Lol...I can see the value in catching up with old friends. I just would rather get a phone number and call...the whole thing just eliminates the human connection. If all I want to do is tell someone from years ago that I'm putting in a load of laundry...it prolly wasn't really worth reconnecting. Also...I have loads of loser family on there that I NEVER wanted to talk to before but NOW...I get to hear everything. My buffer is gone...now loozer family is in my fukking living room. For this reason I rarely log in. As far as couples go..if you are communicating via Facebook..well you may as well call it over. You have no hope of ever connecting on a real level, IMO. As we all know...my opinion is GOD so deal with it!LOL @ loser family; and the play-by-play's of some people's everyday lives. Right on with the couples on facebook comment Em, truer words have never been spoken. Quote Do the right thing!

atlantic Posted March 9, 2010 Author Posted March 9, 2010 I got an email last night from a girl I've never met on facebook. Appears she must be dating my best friends ex. She req I take down one of my pics because it has him in it. We were very close for years and years. He was also best friend to my son's dad; but out of respect for her wishes I changed the pic. I think I better check my privacy settings. WTF - Damn Spacebook Quote Do the right thing!

emkay64 Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 You shouldn't have to take up or take down things on your page because someone else has an issue....tell her to stay off your page then...sheesh. Stoopid facebook! Quote

You have a right to have a pic of him if you want. Now if it was him that requested you take it down, then I would consider it. But some insecure stranger - psh! Quote

So rather than deal with god knows what, I just took it down. You eliminated more drama and avoided conflict, you did the right thing for you to be honest. I tend to be a tad more stubborn (I know that comes as a surprise to everyone here) and I would have told the lady to get lost myself and even looked for more photos of the guy to post just to piss her off some more, lol. Old Salt Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 What? No pictures of your best friend and her ex being happy together to post? Quote

The worse part is the girl went on for like 3 paragraphs about how she doesn't like Melissa (my friend), and went on about what was going on in Melissa's life. There's no way I'm repeating any of it to Melissa, because Melissa (DON'T PLAY). Not to mention, who knows if any of it was true. Doubt it actually. Also, what in the hell was this girl thinking - that I would send her back a reply????? Really, I don't understand the audacity of some people. Quote Do the right thing!
atlantic Posted March 10, 2010 Author Posted March 10, 2010 Oh, and low and behold I received yet 2 more friend requests today, from two freaky looking women who I have never met before. Why would anyone do that. Is there like a competition to see who gets the most friends or some ? Quote Do the right thing!

Ahhlee Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 I have a FB account, but I am never on it. It just doesn't appeal to me and I'm horrible about keeping staying current with it....probably because I keep hearing stories like this! Quote
