Clean or unclean?

I mean certain people on this forum are going to classed as too young to listen to certain unclean songs. What're we going to do about this?

It's down to us what music we broadcast and at what time, as long as we have a disclaimer warning listeners that adult language/content, whatever you want to class it as, will be played on the radio there's no need to worry

I'm pretty sure most 5 year olds can handle a bit explicit material. My 4 year old brother swears, and listens to Eminem.

Best thing to do in this situation is check what country the radio is going to be hosted in, then check the related laws regarding streaming music or radios.

 

So let's say if it was hosted in England and all listeners must be at least 16 or whatever then make a disclaimer saying explicit content, 16+

 

You only need to disclaim what you can get done for, and you'll go by the laws set in the country it's hosted in.

One thing I'm really worried about is the streaming license. We need a license to stream, not to mention, we have to have permission to stream by the artists. I don't think it's been stressed enough, and it's a really serious problem.

All we need to do is add a disclaimer at the bottom of the page telling users that explicit language may be used throughout shows and that we don't control what content our DJs stream, it's up to them what they stream.

 

If you wanted, I could even create a system where a user has to read the disclaimer before hand and agree to a TOS, but they'd only have to do it once.

Nope, you still need permission regardless of whether or not you've bought it or not. And it does ask registered users Steve.

I think you're thinking too much about it.

 

The radio's gunna get 100 listeners max, it's not worth either party's efforts just for a forum like ours.
