Censored Beliefs on the Radio

It is sad but part of the challenge us Christians must face.

Actually, I think the challenge is from the Christians. Apparently, there are Christians raising a stick about him sayin he doesn't believe in God. I really hope that isn't why they cut it out, because I think it would be stupid to censor it just because someone doesn't want to accept the fact that there are athiests.

 

That's how I take it. It's funny cuz I heard this song just the other day and personally found that line a little offensive, but then that's the songwriter's right and take on it so whatever. I don't have to listen to it or feel the same way.

 

There are other songs, which the words are totally offensive and things I don't totally agree with, but I still like the song because of the beat, rythm, mood it puts me in, etc.

Ehhh there are times I would like censoring because it makes things convenient for me...but all in all it can't be applied to only one thing. You allow some censorship you have to allow it all. Too dangerous. The line in that song was totally harmless. We don't get much censorship for words on the radio...an occasional "b tch" is left out...and on one song in particular the f word is gone..but it's mostly so as not to offend people in the workplace, not because of religious choices etc.

Exactly, but then I guess that would be offensive in a whole different way.

 

Although...maybe if there was a little more censoring here I wouldn't have to explain lines like "I wanna take a ride on your disco stick" to my 10 year old lol.

lol. Yeah, my kids come home from school singing all sorts of colorful things. Fun fun.

 

 

lol, really. I hear my kids singing along to some of these songs and I tell them to stop. Then they ask me why since they don't get the sexual innuendo behind it. So now I just tell them because it's nasty and one day you'll understand the real meaning behind it. So far that satisfies them and they don't do it anymore, at least not in my presence.

I usually just say, please don't sing that in public.

 

I like it when they get things totally wrong.

Unfortunately, with three of them, usually one of them figures it out and informs the other two. They’re had fights over what the song really says before.

So you must also agree it should be uncensored in any way and include all the facts including an ultrasound...good...stay on topic or f-ck off.

The one thing about Wez that took me a long time to figure out is he does not care about any topic or idea, all he wants is to pick a fight.

 

 

So what he does is figure out who he wants to fight with then take one or two concepts or ideas he thinks he can use to "beat them up" with then chase that person all over the forum spamming his attempts to get them to fight. You trading insults with him is all he wants. Sometimes I give him a little attention and sometimes I just wave him off but it helps to understand his only reason to post on the forum so you don't waste time thinking he cares about the topic because he dosen't.

Well as you have said many times Wez, I can't make you me, you have to want to be logical and reasonable before you can have the ability to debate as a human being and not as someone who is entirely interested in picking fights for the sake of the fight itself.

 

 

 

My only real issue with your trying to pick fights is it derails an honest attempt at a good discussion Wez, all this crap your dragging in has nothing to do with the topic and that hurts the ability for other people to discuss the actual topic.
