timesjoke Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 I believe it is pretty clear that they have enabled more attacks on children by trying to protect both the offender and the church image. Once they swept an incident under the rug, they were willing partisipants to the coverup and in my opinion, were just as guilty of the attack as the monster they protected. I know that most of their desire to "keep is quiet" is to save face in the community, but they were doing it in the wrong way, if you ask me, the best way to save face is to toss the monster to the wolves and show a complete lack of tollerance for priests who molest children.
