Again, ever hear of food banks? Those are the community stores, please try to pay attention.

 

And it says "all" as it pertains to the tithes, by spreading the full tithes of one year used in an every three year cycle, less people are helped when they need that help. I can only speak of the Churches I have been involved with but way more than 1/3 of the tithe we collect goes directly to the needy.

 

 

You also see that under these rules only certain people are authorized to get help from these community stores. This was intended to help only those who have no other way of getting help, not as a community lazy house to sit around and get free food just because you are too lazy to work.

Answer, the new healthcare law is giving away free medical insurance to millions of new people, this is estimated to cost the American taxpayer over three trillion dollars in the next ten years.

I would not call a voluntary following of a religious belief system socialist.

 

One of the most defining elements of socialist beliefs is that an "all powerful" Government must take what I earn by force and give what was taken to someone else after they first use up most of what they took in buracracy.

 

 

 

I agree that the Bible tells us to help the poor, but at the same time it also sets out rules for that help and is very strict not to give help to those who have the ability to help themselves or get help from places like their family "FIRST". The Bible also does not say it should be you Progressives and your massive Government entitity that should administer this help.

 

 

 

I am following Christian teachings and then some bender, but you attacked my faith only because I would not agree that an "all powerful" Government is reasonable and needed to "fix" American's lives. You Progressives want to give "free money" to people even if they can work but only refuse to work out of being lazy.

I think that is a big part of the issue here. Some folks want Government to be God, because us poor peons can't ever decide for ourselves what is right and what is wrong.

Yes, that is exactly what he is saying.

 

Bender is saying that because it is in the Bible that people should tithe, that it is reasonable for an "all powerful" Government to step in and take over that job. When I resist his idea to have an "all powerful" Government do these things, he attacks my faith and says I am not a Christian if I don't want his Government "god" to take the place of my God.
