I won't post the entire story, it is HERE for those who want to read all of it.

Cut down to the facts, one of Harry Reid's spokeswomen who dealt with most of his spanish circles was involved in a false marriage to help a lebanese national who later had terrorist ties stay in America illegally. The sopkesperson's name is Diana Tejada and she is described by the FBI as "an uncharged coconspirator in the crime of perjury, filing false immigration documents, the crime of sham marriage".

While Tejada was being investigated and formally questions she was working for Reid and there is no way the FBI would not have told him about the possible charges but his office is now trying to claim they knew nothing about her being under investigation and nobody has any solid answer why she was not charged with any crime.

My opinion is the Reid knew all along what was happeneing and had decided she was blameless, after all, Democrats want to erase illegal immigration as a crime anyway so why would he see her actions as criminal? I believe he had the charges against her dropped and knew everything.

This will be the final nail in his coffin.

I guess there were no nails in the coffin? ;)

You got me there emkay, he won his election and the people did not hold him accountable for helping her escape prosecution.

Harry Red really is the definition of old school corruption in Washington where they believe they are above the desires of the people, but at the end of the day he is so well established the voters could not go any other way. Sometimes we get stuck in a rut and it is difficult to get out of that rut.

But he did get a big run for his money and that is something that has not happened before. If the people really thought what he was doing was good for the State and Country why was it difficult for him to win? Being in a close contest was also a message, not as good a message as him getting beat true, but still the reigns were given a tug and he is looking around more now instead of taking his possition for granted.

I'm consistently amazed at what people will elect into office. Not that the choices are ever great to begin with...but I guess he was best of the worst?

Best of the worst? I would not say that but it is my opinion of course and Harry Red being very Progressive will bring out my bias on that point, lol.

Looking closer at the race Harry Red was able to paint his challenger as a radical and that worked well, we have to consider that before this race, Red was elected there many times in a row so their leaning socialist was already a given so his being able to use that tool was not really a big surprise.
