Jared L. and Kim A.

I live three states away from you but I still heard about what you did. You shot a dog and killed three puppies for what? Because you couldn't handle the responsibility and because you have no compassion for another living thing...other than yourselves. The thing that pisses me of the most is that there isn't anything I can do about it. You'll get away with animal abuse just like so many others. You all suck.

It made perfect sense to me... The person came to complain about someone in their life that upsets them for a specific reason.

O.K. I can understand the anger here, but I need a bit more info, I think killing an animal because you don't want to care for it anymore is pretty selfish, but then on the other hand, I have been known to kill MANY a feral cat because they are annoying fucking pests.

I don't know about the area where these people live but there is a humane society just down the road from us where we can take stray animals where they will at least attempt to find a home for them. Anyone cruel and calous enough to simply kill animals because they don't want to care for them should be shot themselves.

So I have heard:

They bought a decent (affectionate, nice, healthy) pregnant dog, chained her outside, little food or water, sold as many pups as possible, then shot the dog (not because she was rabid, sick or aggressive, which may be understandable) and ran over the remaining puppies.

That's all I know, and it really pisses me off, there are plenty of good humane societies out there that they could have taken the dogs to.

NO NO, more please. Tell me more of the details. Please.

Did they put the puppies in a sack before they ran them over? What did it sound like when they popped? Or maybe it was more of a squish?

C'mon bud, don't tease me.

My grandfather used to put litters of cats and puppies in a sack and drown them in a creek on his farm. Good a way as any to get rid of them.

Yep, nature can be cruel. Humans are part of nature, thus our actions are purely natural. With all the suffering that humans go through everyday, I have no time to give a shit about some puppies.

Today people who have animals can get their pet fixed so they don't have unwanted litters. Doing that today can get you charged with animal cruelty.

There ya go, pay someone to mutilate your animals genitals so you don't get charged with cruelty.

Nature is an insufferable bitch. I absolutely concur, but I have a dog and a cat that I would save the life of before I'd save some human lives.

Is it mutilation when a man has a vysectomy or a woman has a tubal ligation or hysterectomy?

The reality is that animals live a longer, happier safer, life is they are fixed. Female animals are more likely to get cysts on their ovaries if they are allowed to go through heat over and over again with no pregnancy. Male animals are more likely to fight and get injured not too mention wandering away from home to get lost or hurt in search of a female to breed with. Male cats are more likely to spray urine to mark territory. Thats not too mention that cats and dogs who are not fixed can churn out a HUGE number of unwanted pets. Isn't it easier to just fix them from the beginning then deal with all that?

Few owners are vigilante enough to keep a close watch over their pets so an animal who is not fixed doesn't contribute to the problem of unwanted litters. I had a dog one time that I didn't fix until she was 5 years old. I watched her VERY closely. She was a pure bred and never outside alone. Its not worth the risk however. I postponed fixing her because she hated being away from me so badly. I finely did what needed to be done and the doctor said just in time because of all the potential health problems of leaving a female dog to go through heat after heat without a pregnancy.

There was a farmer in the area who found a yellow lab stranded in his field (I believe it was last winter). Her jaw was duct-taped shut along with her front legs. She looked like she had been beaten and starved and although the guy was scared to cut her binds in case she would turn on him, he did and saved the dog.

They did a feature about the man and the dog on the news. She still has scars on her nose because the tape was wrapped so tight, but she looked happy and healthy. The farmer swears she's the best dog he's ever had.

Labs are the most loving, loyal companion you will ever have. Stupid and hyper, but I love those dogs.

I'm not a dog person myself, but my brother has a lab and she's a sweetheart. I can't imagine a person being so cruel as to tape up a dog like that and throw it in a field out in the middle of nowhere.

Anyone who could treat a poor defenseless creature that way has psychiatric problems...I fear people who talk about being abusive too animals.

If you read up on some of the markers of the psychotic mind, they often start by torturing animals. Jeffrey Dahmer being one of the famous ones.

What is that? Some kind of doggie STD?

It's a vaginal infection; often fatal. Cost me $2800 to get her treated.
