Unfortunately, this is too true. Religion should unite, not seperate. But everyone is 'right' and the rest are 'wrong'.

No. Religions should not unite at all. Mankind should unite and put an end to the strife, an end to the greed, and an end to the power-dons that head the Judeo, Christian, and Islamic factions.

Man was born free and should stay free of such encumbering thoughts.

I agree with you both. I cringe when I have to hear things about religion. Last Christmas when I drove to Dallas from Orlando, I was taken aback when I saw all the churches in the South, I had forgotten. You couldn't swing a cat without hitting one. I felt closed in by it.

Luckily I don't often get them coming here in my neighborhood.

Talk of religion makes me feel as if someone is trying to trap me, control me and brain wash me.

Try being an atheist in the Southeastern United States and still retain humble, common sense type values. Folk here believe that the Bible created the laws of mankind.

The one thing worse than religion is secular humanism. Secular humanists have, by and large, exchanged worshipping God in favor of worshipping the state. Religious leaders serve as a balance of power against political leaders. This is why tolitarian governments either attack religion (i.e. Stalin, Mao) or utilize it (i.e. Islamic leaders, popes between the 4th and 18th centuries).

Heres where Hamza is indisputably correct. Our culture reeks with a dominant Christian/Jewish oder. Many people don't notice the prevalence of these two religions in our country, but I do, as I despise any religion. So when I'm listening to the radio and a commercial for the "church of Christ" is forced into my ear, I take notice. It always strikes me as offensive when I hear or see religious advertising. Why? Because its always either Christian/Catholic/Jewish. Would it be acceptable for Satanist or Wickan religions to do this public advertising in our country? Probably not.

Clearly you haven't seen the affects of the gulf war and 9/11 on Muslims in America. Acting like they have to apologize for something they had nothing to do with. Thats pathetic.

Death comes to us all, Hamsalad. Whether we want it or not, but it is up to us to decide how we want to fucking go.

You have control over how you go 99% of the time. From what you eat, to how you decide you cross the street.

Don't be so ready to deal out death and justice

What the fuck? There is a difference between a senseless death and a death that just happened. Hundreds of thousands of deaths in Iraq don't JUST happen.

on things your naive, young frothy mind does not yet comprehend.

Oh, I have heard this argument before... Call me young and naive. Don't go after the source or it's credibility, but go after the arguments. ;)

What are you driving at, Hammy? That those who deserve death still live and those that deserve life are dead?

No, I am saying that death around the world has been so easily preventable yet people don't give a fuck because the loss of care for each other is well. Just a loss. But a grave one at that.

The death and carnage in Iraq was preventable. Lets face it, if the Bush Administration did not go to war, we wouldn't have nearly 3,000 dead troops, and hundreds of thousands of dead civilians. For what? Revenge on 9/11? What did Iraq have anything to do with 9/11? We have heard what the senate said about Iraq. Now tell me. What kind of death was not preventable here?

Bush stepped into this war willingly which is a sign of weakness and deceit. There could have been alternative solutions.

Everybody dies sooner or later. As Keynes stated "In the long run we are all dead." Revenge for 9/11 has never been a justification for the war. The little Shiite girls were glad to see the rape rooms closed.

I don't believe it was necessary to go to Iraq...however I have a question. IF Osama was found to be in Afghanistan and the Armed Forces went there the Muslims would be pissing and moaning about that as well...Am I wrong??

If what I have read it too be believed, we deserve what we got on 911 because we have supported Israel. So as far as Muslims are concerned that point should not be that we have no right to be in Iraq, it should be that we deserve what we got.

Attacking innocent American people is the worst thing you can do to try to persuade people to realise Israel's attrocities. Especially when you kill people.

Speaking out against Israeli attrocities committed by Israelis and funded by some US Governing Officials is how to do it.

And what chapter of the Quran is this die-a-tribe found?

Read for yourself dip-shit...

Fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for God loveth not transgressors. (The Noble Quran, 2:190)"

"God does not forbid you from showing kindness and dealing justly with those who have not fought you about religion and have not driven you out of your homes. God loves just dealers. (The Noble Quran, 60:8)"

"And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for God. But if they desist, then let there be no hostility except against wrongdoers. (The Noble Quran 2:193)"

People in Iraq have a hard time finding the US coalition friends or foe... You can see, that if there was no such persecution going on against Iraqis in Iraq right now than the US soldiers would not be/have been harmed.

I forgot...

"Say, 'The truth is from your Lord': Let him who will believe, and let him who will, reject (it):......(The Noble Quran, 18:29)"

"Say : O ye that reject Faith! I worship not that which ye worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship. And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship. To you be your Way, and to me mine. (The Noble Quran, 109:1-6)"

Let us look at Noble Verse 45:14 "Tell those who believe, to forgive those who do not look forward to the days of Allah: It is for Him to recompense (for good or ill) each people according to what they have earned."

----------------------------

Let us look at Noble Verse 2:182 "But if anyone fears partiality or wrong-doing on the part of the testator, and makes peace between (The parties concerned), there is no wrong in him: For God is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful."

Let us look at Noble Verse 2:224 "And make not God's (name) an excuse in your oaths against doing good, or acting rightly, or making peace between persons; for God is One Who heareth and knoweth all things."

I'd say, this Noble Verse clearly proves my point: Let us look at Noble Verse 8:61 "But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in God: for He is One that heareth and knoweth (all things)." In this Noble Verse, we clearly see Allah Almighty ordering us, the Muslims, to incline toward peace when the enemy inclines toward peace. This proves that Islam is not a religion for wars, but for peace.

Fuck no buddy. Muslims fight; back.

And the rules for fighting back are even soft.

The fact that there was a war in Afghanistan and now one in Iraq is something supported by people, but those same people think that when a Muslim says they must defend themselves they are called terrorists. It's that sweet old double standard.

The problem with you Muslims is...its always something. Persecution is seen as so many different things. If its not our support of Israel, its just something else. The timeless warfare in the Muslim world is proof enough that Islam loves death.

...and please stop quoting the Quran, its pointless gibberish and I could do without it. Since you sandies can't seem to agree about the translation of verses, then the quoting of such text is mute.

Okay, stop right there. The fact is, you are so obsessed with pinning problems to Muslims. That is your problem.

Persecution is seen as so many different things.

Muslims are brought together as Brothers and Sisters so when we see our Brothers and Sisters in Palestine killed, that is our reason to fight persecution and use it as a reason and claim it validly. We feel a personal connection to millions of other Muslims.

If its not our support of Israel, its just something else.

Last time I checked this whole bullshit started because of supporting Israel and most of it still is. Or shall we call that little "something else" the Iraq War? The Gulf War? The Recent Massacres in Lebanon? The Palestinian Issue?

The timeless warfare in the Muslim world is proof enough that Islam loves death.

Well! WHAT OTHER FUCKING WESTERN NATION HAS ITS TAGS THERE TOO?!?!

...and please stop quoting the Quran, its pointless gibberish

Quite idiotic. You call Islam violent but I quote the Quran and it says otherwise. Therefore you can't stand the fact that it's right. Period.

Since you sandies can't seem to agree about the translation of verses, then the quoting of such text is mute.

Derogitory terms. How peaceful of you.

The English translations will NEVER be like the Arabic Translations however they are substantial enough for any kind of argument in a debate.
