Not to put too fine a point on it but I imagine that the women died while Jack was ripping their internal organs out of their bodies...thus the name.

 

Very true. Ripping out organs after having brutally raped them, I bet they were begging to die. I would have died inside already, might as well die physically.

Sex is the act of intercourse. That is why we sometimes use qualifiers such as consensual.

 

Actually, Jack the Ripper's victims most likely consented to sex. They were not raped. It was the disemboweling they probably did not consent to.
