Debate This Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 [/url]AP - Pope Benedict XVI "sincerely regrets" that Muslims have been offended by some of his words in a recent speech in Germany, the Vatican said Saturday stopping short of issuing an apology the Islamic world has demanded. Phantom Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 I really couldn't care less if the Muslims are offended. Sure Christianity has a history ("history" being the defining word) of violence against non-believers but Muslims, in general, are currently stirring up so much hate against "the infidels." I'm not Catholic but I don't think the pope should apologize. He called it like he sees it. No one should apologize for that. Quote Blah.
snafu Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Fuck them assholes. The Islamic Clerics are constantly degrading the Christian and Jewish faiths. That Quote "You can't stop insane people from doing insane things by passing insane laws. That's just insane!" Penn & Teller NEVER FORGOTTEN
Hamza123 Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Snafu you don't know jack shit about an Islam Cleric(s) because you've never met one. Christians and Jews are people of the Book. We hold them in Regard and the Qur'an is the only book to mention Muslims, Jews, Christians, and Pagans together as People of the Book. And for the Pope to say some shit about Muhammed was his own fault. And what he said was not even true!! If he was serious he would have stuck to his word. John Paul was cooler anyway. Quote Taking it up the poopchute from Allah since 1990.

I dont' need to know your relgion to see them preching on tv. I see it almost daily. The pope says one thing and Muslims are up in arms, literally. Hamza123 Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Oh and.. Sweet! EVEN THE POPE SLANDERS!! What a G. What a great example of a Catholic. Quote Taking it up the poopchute from Allah since 1990.
Phantom Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 I met a Muslim Cleric a few years ago. He seemed nice enough at first when we were communicating by email (I was interviewing him for a book I was writing about religion). After he found out I was a woman, his tone completely changed and started spouting off all sorts on nonsense. Still, I don't judge Muslims because of this one fellow. I judge them because of the war they have pretty much declared on the rest of the world. Quote Blah.

We don't fuck with you're Pope, don't fuck with Muhammed. Quote Taking it up the poopchute from Allah since 1990.

Phantom Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 To be honest, I think he referred to himself as a "minister" but I'm not sure if he only referred to himself by that title since that is the term I would be familiar with or if that was his actual title. By the way, I have met all Muslims. All 1/2 a billion of them, thank you very much. I host a monthly tea party at my house every last Wednesday of the month. Quote Blah.
Hamza123 Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Stop with the stars PLEASE!! Sura 2, 256, reads: 'No force in matters of faith'. Plain and simple. The Pope lied about Muhammed. "The pope spoke like a politician rather than as a man of religion." Quote Taking it up the poopchute from Allah since 1990.
snafu Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Stop with the stars PLEASE!! Plain and simple. The Pope lied about Muhammed. I must have missed that part. When the pope lie about Muhammed? He stated that faith and war should not be intertwined. Quote "You can't stop insane people from doing insane things by passing insane laws. That's just insane!" Penn & Teller NEVER FORGOTTEN
Phantom Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Stop with the stars PLEASE!! Sorry. Don't know how to do bold yet via html. But didn't Mohamed instruct his followers to kill those that persecute/oppose Islam? I think it only referred to self defense once provoked, though. Quote Blah.
Phantom Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 All I can really say is, the muslims need to just get over it. As a Christian, I have to put up with Hollywood and the media making everyone of my faith out to be a total fanatical idiot. 99% of movies which are released that contain a Christian character depict them as crazed deranged lunatics. Yet everytime someone speaks out against Islam, a holy shitstorm is started. I'd like to know where the muslim outrage was when 4 planes carrying my countrymen were used as guided missles to kill more of my countrymen. Where were the muslim protestors when members of their fanatical sects decided to throw a hissy fit by blowing up the London subway system? Get a grip. We hurt your feelings? Tough shit. You killed innocent people, Jackasses. Quote Blah.
hugo Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 The Pope told the truth nothing new, except evil, came from Muhammad. Phantom Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Ahhh... I see now. No one ever accused me off being too observant. :o Quote Blah.
Jhony5 Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 I for one, truly got a giggle out of the violent reaction that was witnessed in the Muslim world in reaction to being called in essence "a religion of violence". It really is funny. The comments I heard from Muslim protesters was along the lines of "The pope must be punished for this outrage". We all know what Muslims mean by "punished" don't we? So....the Muslims are pissed because another religion has labeled them as violent.....and they react violently. What does this tell us, as the world community? If you question the so called peaceful nature of Islam, then you should die for this outrage. WTF Islam? The rage and fervor of the Islamic religion is prevalent in the Muslim world. Yet many bleeding hearts in America can't see though the mist. Many want to support this idea that Islam is mostly a religion of peace. Only a handful of radicals account for the fanatical Islam we are all witnessing. Is this true? How do you think it divides, Hamza? 90% good Muslims, 10% bad Muslims? 75%-25%? 69%-31%? 50%-50%? I don't know if your a gambling man, but where would you put the number Hamza? And at what point does the percentage warrant concern from outsiders? Quote i am sofa king we todd did.
