Guest masterminx
What if I don't have a pending.xml file in that directory? I can't reinstall the updater because it returns that same error when I try. I am using Vista Home Premium, by the way. Guest MowGreen [MVP]
Run the Windows Update Agent by right clicking it and choose ' Run as admimistrator '. If that still fails to resolve the issue, see if you can manually download this update, save it, close all programs and browsers, and then attempt to install it by running as Admin: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/results...&DisplayLang=en Click the correct Version of Vista listed on that page to access the update. Guest masterminx
Ok...none of that worked. I'm starting to think that I will never get my updates. I think I might actually hate this OS, now. style_emoticons/ "MowGreen [MVP]" wrote: <span style="color:blue"> > Run the Windows Update Agent by right clicking it and choose ' Run as > admimistrator '. > If that still fails to resolve the issue, see if you can manually > download this update, save it, close all programs and browsers, and then > attempt to install it by running as Admin: > http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/results...&DisplayLang=en > > Click the correct Version of Vista listed on that page to access the > update. > > MowGreen [MVP 2003-2008] > =============== > -343- FDNY > Never Forgotten > =============== > > > masterminx wrote: > <span style="color:green"> > > What if I don't have a pending.xml file in that directory?
