Guest Rusty
I have an Acer notebook and I have just uninstalled Norton 360 after the 90 day trial expired and installed alternative AV software. Now upon start up the Security Centre reports that the Windows firewall is turned off but when I look at the services I can see the firewall is set to start automatically and is saying that the service is already running (started), so why is the Security Centre reporting it isn't? I can click the button in Security Centre to start it and all is then fine but I shouldn't have to if it's already running!! This little niggle is annoying me now so has anyone got any suggestions please? I used the Norton removal tool to uninstall 360.

What did you install? Could it be affecting your firewall settings? -- .Joe _[image: http://uswave.net/vistax64/joetmvx64.png] (\"http://www.vistax64.com/index.php?referrerid=17621\")_ _ Click_here_for_the_Vista_x64_Forums (\"http://www.vistax64.com/index.php?referrerid=17621\")_ _CPU-Z_Verified (\"http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=323179\")_
