Guest John A Grandy
In Explorer I try to view the contents of "c:\Documents and Settings" but it gives me an access denied message. How can I enable viewing of this folder ?
Guest Dave
You can't. It's not a folder in Vista, it's a junction point. Most of the old XP standard folders, like "My.." are junction points. They are for older software that are unaware of Vista's new folder structure. They redirect the files to Vista's locations. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTFS_junction_point http://www.svrops.com/svrops/articles/jpoints.htm -- Vista Home Premium 32 SP1 http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview "John A Grandy" <johnagrandy@g-mail-dot-com> wrote in message news:OS1G#JRjIHA.5280@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > In Explorer I try to view the contents of "c:Documents and Settings" but > it gives me an access denied message. > > How can I enable viewing of this folder ?
