Guest Michael Tissington Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 I have a user account that has the wrong name, so I renamed it however the C:/Users/<name> is still the old name. How do I change the name of the C:/Users/<name> folder to match the new name ? I have also tried creating a new user account and copying the original profile into the new account. However when I try to logon to the new account vistal logs me off straight away. Any ideas please ? Quote

When you delete the old one you will have the option to "Keep Files". This will save everything the old user account user folders in a folder on the desktop of the new account. If this is going to be your only account, then make sure it is a administrator account when you create the new one. Hope this helps, Shawn -- Brink There are no dumb questions, just the people that do not ask them. ' VISTA FORUMS ' (http://www.vistax64.com) Please post feedback to help others. Quote
