Why won't Vista allow me to remove a folder and a file in the folder

for a program that no longer exists on my system.

Vista says I need permission?!

I even tried deleting it in safe mode.

Any help will be appreciated

Delete the file(s) first, then the folder.

If no joy,

Open an Administrator Command Prompt

Type attrib -r -a -s -h del [drive] path] [filename] Press Enter.

-------

Report back, please

Tried that. It was a folder and 1 file that was associated with an

anti-virus/anitspyware software. It was under Program Files\Common Files

Finally downloaded shareware and deleted it. After that I had no internet

or email access. ooops!! Had to restore my system to a previous state.

Should have left it well alone.

Thanks for System Restore

James.
