Guest Gordon Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Do I recall reading somewhere that there is a problem with Spybot Teatimer and Vista? Quote
Guest Dustin Harper Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I haven't had an issue with it at all. But, it can get annoying, and for some (novice) users, frustrating and confusing. -- Dustin Harper dharper@vistarip.com http://www.vistarip.com | Vista Resource & Information Page "Gordon" <gbplinux@gmail.com.invalid> wrote in message news:4A96BEA9-E5F2-4CCD-8EA4-D7F2BAB3534A@microsoft.com... > Do I recall reading somewhere that there is a problem with Spybot Teatimer > and Vista? Quote

Guest Mick Murphy Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Some people(1-2) have reported some probs here, but they have never said what version of Spybot S&D they were using! I have absolutely no probs with it at all. Here is the link for the latest version 1.5.2 http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html -- Mick Murphy - Qld - Australia "Gordon" wrote: > Do I recall reading somewhere that there is a problem with Spybot Teatimer > and Vista? > Quote
Guest kentsyl Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 I was using the latest version and had no problems before SP1, but after SP1 I had to run Spybot as admin to change any settings such as turn Tea Timer on or off. I had the same problem with Quick Books, the UAC wouldn't let me change any settings without shuting down the software and running it as Admin. I wound up uninstalling Vista, because it has become more trouble than its worth.
